About Marsha Emanuel
We are a French-American couple. Pierre is a pure Parisien; Marsha grew up in Maine, and lived in New York before deciding to move to Paris. We've lived in the area for many years and really love it. The idea of transforming our duplex into an independent apartment offers us the pleasure of using our space wisely as well as giving visitors to Paris a very comfortable and welcoming environment in which to stay.

A perfect Paris apartment
We have rented several Home Away apartments in Paris over the years. This is the BEST by far! The owner appreciates the little things that make a vacation rental easy and enjoyable. Upon arrival there was toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, milk, juice, spices and olive oil in the larder. Marsha provides a very nice guide to local restaurants, grocery stores and markets. There are 3 Metro stations within a 2 block radius so getting to a destination is very quick and easy. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are spacious by Paris (or New York) standards. Our 19 year old daughter was captivated by the expansive collection of design books in the library. This was the cleanest, most well kept apartment we have every rented! When we return to Paris, this will be our first (maybe only) choice for lodging.
We enjoyed this beautiful apartment, which is well equipped, comfortable and carefully maintained. The location in the Marais district is excellent! A Metro stop is close by and there is easy access to many fine restaurants, galleries and shops. Our host was very gracious and helpful. Thank you Marsha.
Lovely apartment in a great, central location.
We were given a warm welcome by Marsha and the apartment is beautiful - very light, spacious and well equippped. Le Marais is a wonderful area and the apartment is very close to metro stations, shops and restaurants.
We had a fabulous time!
Lovely place in the North Marais
We loved our 8 night stay at Marsha's lovely apartment. It was very convenient to many different Metros and a lovely walk into the heart of the Marais, which was full of restaurants, cafes, museums, shops, boulangeries and food shops.
Marsha made our stay very comfortable, providing all the basics and also some fruit and lovely chouquettes on our arrival. And fresh flowers. Lots of amenities in coffee maker, washer/dryer, a full size ref. and plenty of sheets and towels, comforters and blankets. She even provided soap and toilet paper so we didn't have to rush out to get anything.
Just a note that the toilet is separate from the shower/sink and is at the front of the apartment. It's also a step or two above the rest of the floor and while it didn't bother us, it's best to know about it.
Although the bedroom faced the Boulevard du Temple, a large road. But the double windows subdued most of the noise and it was quiet at night.
We would definitely rent this again.
Extremely attractive apartment.
The apartment is very attractive, probably the most attractive we've found over multiple rentals, with the redesigned space providing light and functionality. We appreciated the comfort and the decor, and enjoyed exploring a new neighborhood. The owner was very available and helpful.
Beautiful apartment in a great location
We had a lovely experience in this apartment. It is just as it looks in the photos, full of art and books, and Marsha welcomed us with many nice touches. Entirely respectful of our privacy, she was nevertheless available to answer questions or provide assistance, in English, if needed. The location of the apartment is very convenient to museums, restaurants, shopping and the metro; the view onto the boulevard very interesting day or night.
My husband and I go to Paris regularly, and have some basic requirements when we rent an apartment: good kitchen, two comfortable places to sit, and strong wifi are all things we look for. This apartment met all of our requirements and more; having the second bedroom was especially helpful as we both had colds at different times and needed to sleep separately. Also, we like to cook, and the kitchen had everything we could have wanted in the way of tools and equipment. There are both dishwasher and washer/dryer in the apartment, true luxury in a Paris rental. We highly recommend this apartment.
