Washington House Rental Photos and Description

3 bd 2.5ba, sleeps 7

This wonderful Duplex provides you with the perfect location - one block from Whitman College and just off Main Street. Close proximity to wine tasting and fabulous food allows you to park your car and walk or bike during your stay in Walla Walla.

There are three bedrooms, 2.5 baths on two levels. The main level has a comfortable living room, a well-equipped kitchen, half bath and a master bedroom (queen bed) with a full bath. A full bath and two bedrooms are located upstairs (one queen bed and a full bed). You can spend a quiet afternoon reading in the upstairs sitting room overlooking the street below. The ottoman folds out into a twin bed. In the basement you can enjoy an evening of Foosball and ping pong. A washer and dryer are provided for your convenience.

Children are welcome. A crib or pack-and-play can be provided upon request. I also have a twin air mattress available on request.

I have added the attached studio that is off the kitchen that is now the master bedroom into part of Isaacs House to make it into one rental with 3 bedrooms.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable.

Perfect for Whitman Graduation Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here for Whitman Grad Weekend 2016. It was a perfect location, convenient to campus/activities and to our daughter's rental house. On Saturday night our restaurant reservations had disappeared (we found out a month prior) and we were able to hire a local chef to cater a dinner on the patio for 12. It was wonderful--better than the restaurant would have been. There were seven of us staying one of the nights (six and five the others), and it was comfortable, but a bit tight. Everything was as promised and super convenient to town and groceries. Highly recommend for any Whitman events. Eggs and coffee were appreciated and we found it easy to cook the meals we needed to (though seating was a challenge).

Great house in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this house for a friends trip. The house was perfectly equipped with everything we needed. It was a short (10 minute max) walk to downtown. I would highly recommend this house, and will definitely be staying here the next time we come to town!

sweet home - but, not for 6

  • 3 of 5

We were so excited to find a place that would accommodate 6 of our family for graduation in Walla Walla. It was in a great location - in walking distance to the shops and cafes. The living area was really sweet and we loved the fresh eggs and coffee left for us in the kitchen. However, the sleeping arrangements were surprising. There were three beds pictured - but, when we got there, we realized that one of the beds was just pictured in a different location with different linens - misleading. The single space ottoman that was mentioned for sleeping didn't have adequate padding for a good sleep. We never did find the place for a 6th person to sleep - and two of our people were unable to stay with us. I would rent again for 4 people - but not 6. Caution must be taken when using the stairs to the bedrooms. They were dangerous to maneuver and one of our party fell down the stairs because each of the steps is only about 6" deep. (one has to turn their foot sideways to go down the stairs) Honestly, though, the house was sweet. It's just not what we expected.

Owner's Response: I am sorry there was confusion on the sleeping arrangements but I was specific on what beds were available when you asked for specifics on Oct 18th 2014 before you booked. I mentioned the Twin air bed is available, which was in the basement and I will set up on request but I did not get a request for the air mattress so it stayed in the basement. As for the "misleading picture"' I do change out the bedding so the picture may or may not be the bedding that is in the picture on the website at any given time, once again the website and my response are specific about the number of beds. I am sorry to hear that someone slipped on the stairs! The house was built in 1930 but your description of 6 inch stairs is inaccurate, they are 9.5 inches, my stairs at home (built in 1993) are 10 inches. There are hand rails on the wall at Isaacs house as well as my own for safety. I appreciate that you took the time to send in a review, they are always welcome and suggestions have always been seriously considered. I am always a phone call or text away for any problems or questions. I did not hear from you so I was unable to address any of the issues. Thank you for staying at our house in town.

Lovely rental in a very walkable area

  • 5 of 5

Darling, well-appointed, very clean duplex. Everything was functional and comfortable with very little guesswork--just what we wanted. We were here for the Walla Walla downtown area and for the Whitman College campus activities. We did not have to use the car once we arrived!

Perfect place for wine tasting stay.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying in your rental house. It was very comfortable, clean and nicely appointed. It was a great place to stay to walk to town and some wineries, and was right across from campus. The lemon zucchini bread you left us was fabulous. Thanks.
