Our cabin enjoys a private setting surrounded by dense forests and farmland with long range mountain views. It is very artistically decorated, and at the same time, very comfortable for indoor/outdoor relaxation with a spacious living room, TV room, a huge deck, and a large screened porch with cool breezes all summer long. There is also a double murphy bed for 'almost outdoor' sleeping and a sleeper couch in the LR.
We also offer our 2 BR, 2BA condo (sorry, no pets) in downtown Asheville for rent. Call or email owner for details.
My husband and I live in Atlantic Beach, Florida during the winter months and in our cabin or condo in the summer. We were attracted to the cabin, not only for the beautiful secluded setting, but also because it is so close to Mars Hill where we can get all our retail essentials and it is a very easy drive into downtown Asheville via I-26. This means no twisty mountain roads or heavy traffic to deal with.
We offer our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in the historic district of downtown Asheville for rent. Please call or email me for details and photos. (no pets.)

The cabin offers lots of space for family and friends to enjoy relaxing together. The deck has beautiful views, and the screened porch is perfect for sipping wine, curling up with a good book, or enjoying a lively conversation. There are many attractions close by: hiking, zip lining, rafting, fishing, skiing, shopping, etc. Weaverville is a short 15 minute drive, and offers boutique shopping, and excellent dining. Asheville is an easy 30 minute drive, via highway. I -26.
The former resort town of Hot Springs, on the Laurel River, is now a haven for hikers on the Appalachian Trail. Biltmore house is about 35 minutes away and the Blue Ridge Parkway is about 20 minutes.
We offer our downtown 2 BR, 2BA condo for rent as well as our cabin. The peaceful setting of the cabin with it's proximity to so many activities makes it easy to take advantage of all that the area has to offer. After a full day hiking, rafting or visiting Asheville, you can return to the serenity and comfort of your cabin in the woods. Or you can opt to spend a few nights in Asheville. ( We require a 3 night minimum).
We had a wonderful stay - the house is in a peaceful, secluded spot with convenient access to Asheville (about 25 minutes via I-26). Great space for visiting and relaxing. Also a great outdoor deck and a screened porch. Very comfortable, clean and with a well-appointed kitchen.
This would be a top choice for us when we return to Asheville.
The house is high on a hill, so recommend coming in a four-wheel drive vehicle if possible. The last section of (non-paved) driveway up to the house is steep.
The cabin is very beautiful, relaxing, very comfortable and clean. It is very secluded but only few minutes away from surrounding towns including Asheville. It is a great house for a group vacation. It did not have any walking trails around the house but otherwise there are hiking trails in the area nearby. The manager was very helpful and responded in timely manner.
This beautiful cabin offers the experience you are looking for in a mountain retreat. Relaxing on the screened porch, listening to the birds and crickets at night, preparing a locally grown meal were just a few of the highlights. It really felt like a home away from home. It was clean and comfortable. It definitely met all advertised features and looked even better in person than depicted in the photos. It felt secluded but was only a few minutes from many activities and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The surrounding towns offered great food and local shopping. A few more minutes to Asheville offered entertainment, dining, antiquing, gallery hopping and, of course, shopping at unique local stores. We will definitely stay again soon and recommend it to all of our friends.
This is our third stay at this cabin . Each time we find more things to do in the area and stiill enjoy the quiet relaxed atmosphere when we come back to the cabin. This home is clean, quiet, beautifully decorated, but comfortable ,too. You can't beat the sunsets on the deck!
Stayed at Bettybelle this past christmas with my family and it was perfect. Clean, comfortable & a real sense of home is what this place has to offer. A highlight was having a large enough living room to accommodate my family of 8. It allowed us to get some well needed time together in a gorgeous lodge in the mountains of western NC. Highly recommended. A+. Thank you!
My husband and I had a very relaxing week-long stay at Bettybelle. The location is in a private and serene setting, and I spent many pleasant hours on the screened porch looking out at the vista. We had several meals on the deck and I felt like we were part of the natural surroundings. It is a wonderful location to take day trips from - into Asheville, to small near-by towns for music, including fiddling events, and to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The house was clean and comfortable, everything worked smoothly, and I will be recommending Bettybelle Lodge to my friends!
The cabin is well located near many activities: hiking, rafting, fishing, zip lining, and skiing (Wolf Laurel). It is an easy 30 minute drive into downtown Asheville where you'll find shopping, fine dining, musical entertainment, and the Biltmore House. Weaverville is a 15 minute drive with more shopping, dining, and hiking. The Blue Ridge Pkwy. is 20 minutes, the Appalachian Trail is 15 minutes.
