Why Owner chose Historic Eastside
This property is so special. It was built in the 1800s, and is one of the few pitched roof buildings in historic Santa Fe. The monumental pine columns on the front porch were brought to Santa Fe on the Santa Fe Railway, when it first started operating. Located on the most historically significant and beautiful street in Santa Fe, home to two of Santa Fe's oldest art galleries and leather shops, this building is rich with history and charm. We have lovingly restored its plaster walls, hardwood floors, and hand crafted hardware.

Lovely Arty Space
The best part about this property is the spaciousness of the condo, stretching out— long from the front sunny-sitting-room, thru a beautiful wood-floored dining space into a large bedroom with the best bed in the world. More comfortable bed than mine at home! The art within the space was beautiful and magical in its inspiring effect. Because this is a historic property, the kitchen space is small but adequate, and there is no washer dryer in the unit. The owners were conscientious, though, about helping me send out a weeks worth of laundry and getting a housecleaning mid-stay. They were literally always just a phone call or text away. The personal touch of the art gallery staff beneath the condo, willing to help at any time along with outgoing, gracious personalities besides, made this a most special stay.
Wonderful condo and location. Very conveniently located in the heart of Canyon Road.
It Would Be Even Better In Winter
This is a gorgeous and exclusive apartment designed for art lovers. It was a special experience , surrounded by tasteful artwork chosen by the curators from the gallery below. Unfortunately, it was summer in New Mexico, with temperatures soaring towards 100 degrees, and the two tiny window air-conditioning units struggled to keep up. For once, we felt biased towards comfort , rather than design and ambiance. The sterility of a hotel room or a modern apartment beckoned.
Yet, the bed was comfortable, the location sublime, and the people at the gallery were simply lovely. Oh, the outdoor deck was also nice, when the sun went down. We enjoy New Mexico more in the winter, but that has nothing to do with this apartment. C’est la vie.
We love the people in the gallery below and the owners. The only thing that would be great is if there was a table and umbrella on the outdoor patio
Hi there, and thanks so much for your suggestion about a table and umbrella for outside! We added them today, thanks to your suggestion. It was wonderful having you stay, and we hope to have you return soon!
Waking up on Canyon Road
When we woke up we could not believe that we were on Canyon Road, art work around us and so quiet! It was like all this art was for us alone.
The apartment is immaculate, spacious and so beautiful. One can meditate and feel so peaceful there or can go and go since everything is so close. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to stay there.
We loved it
