About Pat Toner

We came here for our summer vacation, fell in love with the Smokies, so we decided to buy a second home and possibly retire here.

Pat Toner purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Pat Toner chose Tennessee

The mountain view and the easy access to the spur. You don't have to go way up the mountain, and you feel like your the only cabin on the mountain. It is so easy getting in and out, and is easy on your vehicle. There is nothing about this cabin that we don't love. The best words to describe this place is easy and beautiful. I have upgraded so many things in the cabin. My goal is to have the best cabin in the Smokies. I'm looking for renters that want high quality and comfort. I hope that this is the best cabin that you will ever stay in.

What makes this cabin unique

The views, the wildlife and the serenity. If you come once, you will come back.

A secluded cabin perfect for a small family

  • 5 of 5

My family spent 3 days in the cabin. It is a secluded place perfect for our family reunion. We did go out to view the sunrise or sunset and had a hiking in the early morning and in the late afternoon, while we took a nap in the cabin at noon and relaxed in the hot tub in the evening. The kitchen was stocked with we needed to make brunch and dinner. We also used outdoor grill. Love this cabin and hope to go back in autumn or winter.

Gorgeous view!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was beautiful! Everything was clean and well maintained. The view from the deck and hot tub was amazing! The cabin was very secluded and private, yet easy to get to from the main road. The only complaint I have is you could hear traffic noise from the highway. We will definitely be staying here again!

Amazing.

Beautiful view. Would be better in the fall or winter. Not too difficult to get to. Thank goodness it wasn't snowing. Beautiful home.

Owner's Response: Hello Katie. Thank you for your review. I'm not sure what you mean. The view is unobstructed, winter is no different. The view is the same year round. The cabin is in the mountains, but the whole of Gatlinburg is in the mountains. I rent all fall and winter. Unless there is a major snow storm, the cabin is pretty easy to get to. Was this your first time to Gatlinburg?

Perfect Family Rental and Prime Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a week in this cabin and felt fortunate to have done so! To start with, Pat was very easy to work with, quick to respond and accommodating. The cabin itself was just as described and was in a perfect location. It was close enough to Gatlinburg and the Park, yet tucked away in the mountains so you felt like you were away from it all. We spent most of our days hiking or taking in some of the area attractions and it was great to come back to the cabin and relax in the clean hot tub or just take in the view from the deck. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook meals and we also used the outdoor grill. We have two school-aged children, who loved the games provided and having a TV in their own room. The cabin had plenty of space for the four of us. We had looked at other cabins in the area, and we chose this one due to it's location and also that it had a view of the mountains - we were not let down at all!

Fantastic rental property with stunning view!

  • 5 of 5

Pat was so easy to work with and we loved the cabin! We have rented VRBO properties before and I have to say that this was the cleanest and best equipped with the items that you need to get started (hand soap, dish detergent, trash bags, etc). It doesn't have enough forks or spoons, but I don't mind washing dishes so it wasn't a big deal. The view was stunning! We didn't have any bears visit, but did have raccoons visit us twice during our stay. There were also tons of birds, lizards and little rodents to watch from the deck. My kids loved the hot tub! I am passing on this rental info to my friends and family because we highly recommend it!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words. The rodents are chipmunks. They are fun to watch running around the driveway. They always seem to be in a hurry.

Car: necessary

Nestled between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg on the spur. High in the mountain side overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Excellent roads and motorcycle friendly. Scenic Hideaway Cabin is close to all the main attractions, yet very private and off the beaten path. The cabin has the 2 things you want, total privacy and an amazing view of Mount LeConte. Fully stocked kitchen and very clean throughout. Both bedrooms have king size beds with tv's. The cabin is stocked with high quality linens and towels. Our goal is to keep the cabin in top shape and a pleasure to stay in.
