About Patricia Buie

My husband and I are retired and have lived in Coastal Georgia since our marriage in 1991. He is from the coast and I am from Atlanta. I grew up visiting the North Georgia mountains so as part of our retirement plans we bought this house with the intention of visiting and sharing it with others. The house is so comfortable and peaceful, great for bird watching but close to so many attractions. We have 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren and have made this our family retreat. We have two small dogs, Isabel, our 15 year old mini poodle and Pennie, our 6 year old pekapoo. We are pet friendly as far well behaved dogs are concerned but sadly can't allow cats and I and one of my daughters have severe allergies.

Patricia Buie purchased this house in 2011

Why Patricia Buie chose North Georgia Mountains

This property is a full size fully equipped home and easy to get to as it is right of Hwy 441. It serves as a base for many excursions and close by activities while having a beautiful view

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with house because of the barnlike style and it is the highest point on the street. This commands a beautiful view with a feeling of quiet isolation but less than 2 miles from Ingles Grocery with a Starbuck cafe. Wonderful Place with free wi-fi

Cute, clean & pet friendly!!

Worked perfectly for my needs at the time. Home was very cute and very clean. It was pet friendly with a fenced yard which was what I needed. Owner responded quickly to all my inquiries and was very friendly! Overall a great experience!

Comfy and cozy

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed in this house for a weekend while in Clayton for an event going on at the small airport nearby. We were pleased with the overall condition and cleanliness of the house and it has a very cozy feel to it. My only small gripe would be the AC. The home doesn't have central air built in but instead does have a very mini system downstairs that is powerful enough to freeze you out if set to low. My only problem was the upstairs in the bedrooms. It has a small window unit in one bedroom that wasn't able to cool the room enough for my liking and the other room doesn't have any AC. But I must note that I am always hot and it takes a lot to keep me cool.

What a wonderful trip for our family. We went right after Christmas. The house was all decorated for Christmas. What a wonderful surprise. So we were able to keep the spirit. The home was very sweet, quite, cozy and warm. We all really had a wonderful, relaxing time. Thank you making our get away so nice Trish.
