About Linda Boelsems

I have lived in this area for 30 years. Since retirement, we have stayed in many vacation rentals in fun recreational areas. My goal was to create a similar experience in my area for my guests to enjoy. I purchased this home recently and have furnished it as a home that I would not only live in but vacation in.

Linda Boelsems purchased this house in 2012

Why Linda Boelsems chose Gold Country / High Sierra

We are in the beautiful Sierra foothills with lakes, hiking trails, snow, deer, turkeys. We are above the fog but below the snow (usually). It just does not get any better than this.

Just finished up a wonderful stay at the Tree House. If you enjoy cooking you will love this kitchen. It's fully stocked with every utensil needed. Tons of platters, pots and pans & cutlery. Leave all your spices at home to, it has everything.

The beds in all the rooms where so comfortable & the linens where like being home.

All the board games & outside games are great for kids.

Beautiful lake nearby to go float in!

The Perfect Tree House

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time that I have stayed at the treehouse. The first time I came with my husband for a long weekend. We needed a quiet getaway and that is exactly what we got. Everything was just beautiful. The house was well stocked with whatever you might need. I was very impressed with the thoughtfulness and detail that Linda put into stocking the house. I needed to repair a strap on a bathing suit and found a sewing kit in the closet! Who thinks of that??

The second time that I stayed was just recently and my family has a "girls weekend" that we have every year and when planning it I thought of Linda and her "tree house" and felt that it was perfect for our needs. The house was just the right size and near a beautiful lake that we thoroughly enjoyed. We also were close enough to enjoy Lake Tahoe for the day. Linda also furnishes indoor games, books, DVD's and outdoor games. I have to say that this was one of the BEST girls weekends that we have had. I highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, quiet house to get away or have a family gathering.

Wonderful Tree House

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time staying at the Tree House. Open and inviting, you truly feel like you are at home. This is much more than your average house rental. Everything you could possibly imagine needing is at your fingertips! This home is of the finest and most comfortable we have ever been in. From the beautiful, fully equipped kitchen to the luxuriously comfortable beds, this house has been designed for your comfort and relaxation. The owners welcome you to the neighborhood with their warm hospitality and go far beyond in their quest to make you feel at home. Welcome home to the Tree House!!

Best Home We've Ever Rented

  • 5 of 5

This home looks brand-new, even though it's around 10 years old. Linda, the owner, is without question the most gracious, generous person we've ever dealt with when renting homes. She furnishes this house with hotel-quality bed linens, more towels than you could ever need, indoor games, books, and videos, outdoor games like horseshoes and croquet, and the basic necessities like shampoo, body wash, detergent and fabric softener.

This home is in a nice residential neighborhood, so the key here is to treat this home as if it was your own, and to be considerate of the neighbors. This is not a house for raucous parties and beer pong in the garage, but rather a relaxing and comfortable home base for your trip to the Gold Country.

Frequent Traveler

  • 5 of 5

This is my forth or fifth stay. Each time it gets better. If you leave a comment in the guest book that you want something that wasn't there, the next time it will be. It is a wonderful house. I want to live there with the magic guest book.

Perfect fall getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the tree house. It beat our expectations for sure. It was a perfect place for a multi generational gathering. It was easy for handicapped elderly as well as the more active members of the family.

The house was well appointed with games for all ages and activty, books, and videos.

My favorite place in the house was the lovely deck. we spent much of our time out there enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and large table to play game on. I really enjoyed having my coffee out there in the mornings.

We loved the kitchen and how well appointed it was with all kinds of utensils. Wasn't lacking a thing. We cooked every meal there and even had a BBQ one evening.

I felt that the owener went out of her way to make sure our stay was going to be just as we wished.

I would not hesitate to book a stay here again when we are in the area.
