This home has everything! Gorgeous Aspen ceilings, hard wood floors, large kitchen, great mountain views, large 2 car garage, dry-heat sauna, 4 HD satellite TV's with 2 surround sound systems, Xbox with Kinect, broadband wifi, pet-fenced back yard, passive solar and high efficiency fire place inserts, and large bar area with undercounter refrigerators and frosted mugs. Ceiling fans throughout. New gas grill on front deck. Home is located on paved road with concrete driveway for easy winter access. We have recently added a 6 KW solar system and a backup, whole-house generator in the unlikely event that the power goes out.
Wolf Creek ski resort is less than 25 miles from the house. Our location is within a few hundred yards of Hatcher Reservoir for fishing any time of the year. To the west, about 1/4 mile, is the National Forest access with hundreds of miles of trails to hike in the summer. These trails are groomed in the winter for cross country skiing and snow shoeing. The Pagosa Lakes recreation center is a short drive away with a full gym and Olympic size indoor swimming pool.
Home has a spacious open floor plan with the kitchen and dining areas connecting to the large upstairs living area. There are three bedrooms and 2-1/2 bathrooms. Upstairs is the master suite with a king size tempurpedic bed, aspen ceilings and attached solarium with passive solar heating. Master bath room has large walk-in closet, twin sinks, shower and very large jacuzzi tub, linen closet and separate toilet room.
There is another master bedroom downstairs with a king size tempurpedic bed, walk-in closet and attached solarium with passive solar heating. The third bedroom has a queen size bed and a large walk-in closet. The downstairs bathroom has a combination tub-shower. The 1/2 bath is upstairs off the kitchen, living and dining areas. There is a laundry room downstairs with large washer and dryer. In addition, there are two memory foam roll away twin beds and two memory foam pads (6 in thick) for your use and two leather sofas large enough to sleep two big men.
The large living area upstairs has a handmade dining table with 8 chairs, a kitchen bar with seating for two, a separate dining nook with a table and additional seating for two and the large bar area with additional seating and wine racks, glasses and refrigerators for beer and beer glasses and 5 gallon beer kegs for the draft beer tap. There is a three man canoe in the garage with a canoe dolly for fishing and canoeing at Hatcher Reservoir. There is also a large 70 gallon hot water heater in the home so large groups do not have to worry about running out of hot water. Since we plan to live here on retirement, the home has everything you can possibly imagine for a home including all pots, pans, dishes, linens and all kitchen appliances and accessories.
My wife and I purchased this home in 2012 to use as a vacation and rental property and for a retirement home. We live in the Dallas, TX area.
Bryan Bellew purchased this house in 2012
We have been skiing at Wolf Creek ski resort for several years and love the beauty and majesty of the mountains, the serenity of the valleys and the enjoyment of the Hot Springs and the friendly people. Wolf Creek has the most snow fall in Colorado every year but very low lift ticket prices and very challenging skiing with minimal crowds or lift lines. Pagosa Springs is not a crowded resort town like so many of the ski meccas in the Rockies. It is a community of about 1,800 people who live and work in Pagosa year round. There is excellent dining in town and an active night life for those who are interested.
We had such a great time! Bryan made everything so easy from booking and payments and quickly responded to my emails and questions. Unfortunately, we did not get the opportunity to experience BRyan's beautiful home. We received a call from him on our way to the house and was informed of a water leak. Due to the water leak, we were unable to stay there. Bryan quickly calmed our nerves by finding another perfect vacation home that fit and exceeded all our needs! We needed a certain location and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a fabulous place to stay! Can not thank him enough. He is very pleasant to work with...highly recommended...and Pagosa springs is beautiful!!!
We were extremely pleased with our accommodations. The house is very clean and attractively furnished. The owners were exceptionally thoughtful in stocking the house--from the large supply of good linens to the well-equipped kitchen and pantry. The beds and couches are quite comfortable. There were good board games and DVDs, and the bar room was a fun place to gather. We had a 3 generation gathering with 6 adults and 5 children and we all thought it was a great place. All of us were able to fit around the dining room table for dinner. Having large screen TVs on both floors was great for the grandkids--they really liked the video games, and the solariums provided areas for some "peace 'n quiet". Any questions or concerns we had were quickly and politely answered. It was great!
This home is amazing! The views are magnificent. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but still close enough to town. This house has ALL the amenities and then some! Bring your groceries, clothes, a toothbrush and you're all set. We had an awesome time! The perfect place for rest and relaxation, or exploring the amazing mountains. We will definitely stay here again!
Our party of 10 thoroughly enjoyed the property. A couple of teens slept on mattresses on the floor, but there were no complaints. We found the house to be very clean and modern, but not out of place in the mountains, with lots of wood throughout. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the man cave was a blast for nightly black jack and college bowl games. Lots of TVs and the younger ones enjoyed the game room downstairs.
The garage was large enough for both our vehicles. We got our suburban in far enough to attach our trailer receiver carrier and shut the door, for a 50 degree vs 0 degrees loadup. The owner was very accommodating so that we got full use of the garage.
No complaints about this property at all.
My family spent a terrific holiday weekend in Pagosa Springs at this beautiful, large cabin. The beds are super comfortable, the home met all of our needs, and it was in immaculate condition. I love to cook, and the kitchen was appointed with everything to make a few gourmet meals for our large group. The lake is just up the hill, very accessible, although we didn't have time to take out the canoe! We didn't need a/c in September -- opening the windows was all that was necessary. Thanks for a great stay!
My family and friends were amazed that this home was on the market for vacation rentals. The house is immaculate and just a wonderful place to stay for a long weekend. Everything was easy to find, the families directions throughout the house were extremely helpful and the overall neighborhood was fantastic. It is a short 10 minute walk to the lake and only a 10 minute drive to town. We were a bit worried it did not have air conditioning but opening the windows throughout the house made it cool and comfortable.
