I will eventually retire here, but until then this is my private escape when I have the time to fly south, and the rest of the year I'm happy to offer it to others who want to enjoy Palm Springs. I've traveled the world for business and have acquired an appreciation for quality, comfort and good taste. Because I often stay at the Bungalow, I've ensured it reflects those values.
I immediately snatched up this bungalow property when I found it for sale in early 2012 because it is so unique. At 1,150 sq ft, it has plenty of space including a huge master bedroom. Both bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, so two couples can easily stay here while preserving their own privacy. Riviera Gardens is very tranquil. You tend to see more of the gardeners than you do the other residents! The nearest swimming pool and jacuzzi are a 60-second walk away from the back patio. The shopping and restaurant district of Palm Springs is a five-minute drive away.
This is the second year in a row that my wife and I decided to spend the month of January in the Bungalow. We discovered many of the excellent qualities of the Bungalow when we first stayed in 2016; that it is a quiet, spacious, well-appointed and tastefully decorated one-story condo, located inside of a quiet, lush, safe gated community with four separate pool/hot tubs within easy walking distance of the unit. Covered parking space is maybe 30 feet from the front door.
The owner is terrific, and has put together a wonderful home with all the amenities any renter could possibly ask for. From a well-equipped kitchen, to the three different television/Blu-ray cable set-ups for the bedrooms and living room. He thought of everything and is very, very pleasant owner to work with.
Riverera Gardens is located to the west of Downtown Palm Springs, just minutes from all of the activities, restaurants, movies and museums around the Bungalow. A perfect place to launch all of your vacation activities in the Coachella Valley. That is why we came back again this year. Can't say enough of how great this property is, just hoping that when we are ready to return it's still available to rent. Great place!
My son and I really enjoyed our stay at the Riviera Gardens bungalow! It was very cozy and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. It was a very peaceful and quiet stay. The owner was accommodating and professional and always got back to us promptly. We look forward to another stay in the future. Thank you Mike for sharing your amazing bungalow with us for the month!
Thank you for providing a wonderful vacation rental. Your place was nicely stocked with all the amenities you would normally need in your home. It was clean and nicely decorated and comfortable. The bedroom was great and nicely equipped with extra bedding and towels. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner outside in the front patio. When we took walks in the complex we were amazed when we found lemon, mandarin and grapefruit trees. They were delicious. Look forward to come back again next year.
this was such a relaxing, wonderful vacation for our small family! we had our 1 year old and 4 year old, as well as our french bulldog. it ended up being a very peaceful, restorative time for all of us.
the two bedrooms were roomy and the living area was very cozy, with a TV on a stand high enough to be out of reach of our busy toddler (if you have young children, this place was pretty safe, with the addition of some outlet covers and strategic re-placement of a beautiful vase that attracted our little guy's attention). i might have liked to have a baking sheet, more storage containers/kitchen utensils, but that's because i cook quite a bit and am used to having more to work with in my kitchen. we loved the beautiful grounds, the garden setting, and having a choice of pools! the closest pool was less than a 1-minute walk and within view of the back sliding glass door. there are pool towels, a couple of rafts and other pool items, so you really don't need to bring anything.
the location was great for us--close enough to supermarkets and the main shopping/restaurants, but far enough away that it was super quiet and peaceful. we occasionally saw other residents, but everyone was very quiet and respectful. truly, it felt like a home away from home--exactly what we were hoping for!
mike was a good communicator and very professional to work with. there was a bit of a snafu with getting our keys (due to the USPS) but mike worked it all out without a problem.

This is a clean, comfortable condo with bedrooms at opposite ends of the unit to ensure privacy. It has a private outdoor patio area and a convenient parking space. I loved its garden setting and the two nearby swimming pools. I walked every morning in the attractive residential area that surrounds it and ate several times at restaurants only a few blocks away. And I liked that it is located so close to supermarkets and to downtown Palm Springs.
I arrived at the Bungalow for the month of December after a long trip from Iowa. I found everything to be exactly like the description given by Michael. Everything was new and sparkling clean. It didn't take long at all to feel completely at home. The master bedroom and bath are very large and there was a new beautiful walk in shower. I chose to stay in the "guest" bedroom so that I could wake up to a view of the mountains. My brother joined me for a few days over Christmas. He was also impressed with the bungalow having rented several places in the Bay area over the years. The grounds were beautiful and the pools warm and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked however I ate most of my meals at the fine Palm Springs restaurants.
I definately plan to return!
