Wait no longer! A PRIVATE viewing of Elk, Deer and Turkeys in a surreal setting. Our newly remodeled ranch house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and is very quaint and cozy! It is nestled in an aspen tree grove on a private ranch. Our elevation is about 7500 ft. in the mountains, making the cooler air a real treat after a full day of hiking in the National Parks. This ranch is the heart of where the deer and elk make their summer home. This little piece of heaven is an absolute must for the person looking for an amazing experience and not just a place to lay your head. It is an excursion all in itself! You will enjoy a scenic 1 mile drive on a graded dirt road to the ranch house. The view from the porch is unlimited!! Our ranch house is a unique opportunity to view wildlife up close, but it is absolutely necessary to keep the noise to a minimum to get that experience. You will view elk, turkey and deer on the front lawn. There is an outdoor cooking area with a barbecue and picnic table. The area is covered with a aspen log pergola with the view of wildlife in the meadow for a great outdoor dining experience. A place like no other!

During the summer, enjoy the beautiful wild flowers and wildlife.
This cozy, quaint and newly remodeled ranch house is fully furnished with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. There is satellite TV/DVD for your convenience. For you baseball fans, not to worry....we have the MLB package, so you won't miss a game of your favorite team. There is a queen size bed in bedroom 1 and a queen size bed in bedroom 2. Just minutes away you'll enjoy visiting the national parks, taking in a fishing day, atv or horseback riding, a day at the sand dunes, hiking or just a simple picnic.
There is a fire pit! You can enjoy roasting hotdogs, marshmalloooows or the kids new favorite (starburst candy)!!! The roasted marshmallows make the best roasted dessert, s'mores!!!! (graham cracker, chocolate, roasted marshmallows). Just put the chocolate and roasted marshmallow between the graham cracker and it makes a great sandwich dessert. Mm.. Goooood! You'll never forget it!

There is an international airport in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Cedar City has a regional airport as well. Las Vegas and Salt Lake City are both linked with Interstate 15 with an exit to Cedar City. It's just a short 40 minutes on a beautiful scenic drive up the mountain on Highway 14 to our ranch house.
Should you happen to forget something, there is Tod's Country Store that is just 2 miles away and has a pretty good selection. Groceries, gas, gifts, liquor, beer, wine, ice, soft serve ice cream and a self-serve grill to cook your hamburger or steak sandwich to your perfection!! On Saturday mornings during the summer months in Tod's Country Stores' parking lot, there is a great farmers market and fatty's barbeque.
Come visit, you won't be disappointed!
My wife and I very much enjoyed the Ranch House on our recent trip to Utah. It was very comfortable and quiet for the two of us. There is no internet or cell coverage, which was great for us. It had everything we needed for fixing our various meals. The charcoal grill could use a little upkeep, repair handle. There is a laundry room which could use some fresh air into it. The bathroom is small, but met our needs. The other rooms were very comfortable. The most enjoyable was the daily entertainment from the numerous turkeys, deer, and elk. The bull elk were bugling, and saw a couple of very nice bulls. I had binoculars, but there is a spotting scope there at the Ranch House. We split our week by going to Bryce and Zion National Parks. It was a bit more driving, but I always enjoyed coming back to the Ranch House for the wildlife entertainment. I'd be happy to go back again.
Was so much more than words can say! Wish had more time so could have spent more time just at cabin resting and exploring. The seclusion and wildlife was amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of heaven on earth! Bless you. Already talking return trip but with family!!
Wonderful house at a quite location. Wildlife viewing every night, just as promised. Super quite area. Clean house, had everything we needed. One thing I was a little surprised was that you had to go outside to a separate entrance outside to do the wash. Was no problem though just glad it wasn't raining. Also wanted to grill our last day, but grill wasn't working. Had wood inside of it. Cooked inside instead. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.
We had no real idea of just what to expect when we drove up to the Ranch House. There it was, just like the picture, but inside, the detail of restoring a 60-70 year-old slice of the Old West was nicely surprising. Everything was top quality and thoughtfully comfortable, from decor to hot water (soft!), restful furniture, great beds, and modern appliances. On top of that, we met Nate and Amanda -- the managers of this property -- along with their delightful, energetic daughter, and experienced the care they expend on making sure everything is just right. And, of course, everything was just right. Wood for the fire pit in place (giant marshmallows supplied!), barbecue and outdoor table, front porch seats for sitting and enjoying the view, and a powerful spotting scope for the real treat of the Ranch House: wildlife.
If you have ever had deer, Elk, wild turkeys, and rogue gophers on your front lawn at all hours of the day and night, don't bother trying the Ranch House. Our first visitors were five or six mama deer with fawns prancing around, feeding on the fields of clover to the front. If that were not enough (and this was daily), 28 wild turkeys paraded down the side hill in a straight line, one after the other, stopping to inspect our car and then to peck at the feed at the feet of the deer. Then , down came 15 mama Elk with babies, right on the front lawn. They ignored us as we sat on the front porch. I expect that later in the season the males will also put in an appearance. All in all, highly recommended.
Oh, and don't forget the proximity of Bryce and Zion National Parks, Ceder Breaks National Monument, and hundreds of acres of mountains and forests, all within a day's visit.
The view every night from the front porch was amazing. Watching all the animals come down at dusk to graze in the meadow right in front of the cottage. It's not something you get to see in your everyday life. The cottage was fully equipped and very comfortable. Very convenient to all the parks in the area. I would definitely recommend staying here
We stayed in the cabin for three nights, and I wish we could have stayed for another week. The cabin was modern and clean. It was very isolated, yet it was not even 10 minutes from the highway. The price was fair and the laundry room was a plus. It is in close proximity to the parks, and there was a lake close enough for my boys to go fishing. We even had lake trout for supper one night, cooked on the nice charcoal grill. The obvious highlight was the wildlife viewing. The first night we saw many mule deer and enjoyed it very much. We were pleasantly surprised when, on the second night, the herd of elk joined the mule deer. On our third night, there were probably over 100 mule deer and over 100 elk in the distance yard and meadow. We even saw some fawns nursing from their mother. Between the view and the animals, the scenery was amazing. I don't know if we will make it back to Utah again, but if we do, this would be the first place I will try to rent.
