New Cozy 2 Bdr-1 Bath Ranch House

Wait no longer! A PRIVATE viewing of Elk, Deer and Turkeys in a surreal setting. Our newly remodeled ranch house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and is very quaint and cozy! It is nestled in an aspen tree grove on a private ranch. Our elevation is about 7500 ft. in the mountains, making the cooler air a real treat after a full day of hiking in the National Parks. This ranch is the heart of where the deer and elk make their summer home. This little piece of heaven is an absolute must for the person looking for an amazing experience and not just a place to lay your head. It is an excursion all in itself! You will enjoy a scenic 1 mile drive on a graded dirt road to the ranch house. The view from the porch is unlimited!! Our ranch house is a unique opportunity to view wildlife up close, but it is absolutely necessary to keep the noise to a minimum to get that experience. You will view elk, turkey and deer on the front lawn. There is an outdoor cooking area with a barbecue and picnic table. The area is covered with a aspen log pergola with the view of wildlife in the meadow for a great outdoor dining experience. A place like no other!

Cleaning fee waived on a 6 night stay!!

Absolutely no pets and no smoking!!!!

Our newly remodeled ranch house is centrally located between Zion, Bryce and Cedar Breaks National Monument. Enjoy the amazing scenery and famous hiking trails. Aspen Mirror Lake, Navajo Lake and Panguitch Lake are within minutes of the ranch house along with several excellent fly-fishing streams/rivers. There are over 500 miles of atv trails. During the summer, enjoy the beautiful wild flowers and wildlife.

This cozy, quaint and newly remodeled ranch house is fully furnished with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. There is satellite TV/DVD for your convenience. For you baseball fans, not to worry....we have the MLB package, so you won't miss a game of your favorite team. There is a queen size bed in bedroom 1 and a queen size bed in bedroom 2. For sure, this is a great home base for your Southern Utah vacation. Just minutes away you'll enjoy visiting the national parks, taking in a fishing day, atv or horseback riding, a day at the sand dunes, hiking or just a simple picnic.

There is a fire pit! You can enjoy roasting hotdogs, marshmalloooows or the kids new favorite (starburst candy)!!! The roasted marshmallows make the best roasted dessert, s'mores!!!! (graham cracker, chocolate, roasted marshmallows). Just put the chocolate and roasted marshmallow between the graham cracker and it makes a great sandwich dessert. Mm.. Goooood! You'll never forget it!

If this property isn't exactly what you're looking for, you can view our other properties we share on VRBO. Just click on the ALL MY RENTAL LISTINGS link just above the photos, towards the bottom of this page.

Fall Season... the color change of the leaves are a sure thing to talk about!

There is an international airport in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Cedar City has a regional airport as well. Las Vegas and Salt Lake City are both linked with Interstate 15 with an exit to Cedar City. It's just a short 40 minutes on a beautiful scenic drive up the mountain on Highway 14 to our ranch house.

Should you happen to forget something, there is Tod's Country Store that is just 2 miles away and has a pretty good selection. Groceries, gas, gifts, liquor, beer, wine, ice, soft serve ice cream and a self-serve grill to cook your hamburger or steak sandwich to your perfection!! On Saturday mornings during the summer months in Tod's Country Stores' parking lot, there is a great farmers market and fatty's barbeque.

Come visit, you won't be disappointed!

Spectacular setting- a little tight

  • 4 of 5

We were amazed to come into this wonderful place. A well built house in a beautiful location. The bedrooms and bathroom were very tight for two people. We used both bedrooms just to lay out and put away our stuff. Commuting down to Zion Park was a bit long but a beautiful drive. Once at Zion it is necessary to go into the park another 13 miles (with multiple traffic delays) to get to the visitor center which is essential for allowable transportation throughout the park. However the rental is a bit less costly if you don't mind the extra time it takes to make multiple visits to Zion. Bryce is close but it only needs one day to experience it. Zion is spectacular.

Incredible Spot! But don't buy mustard!

  • 5 of 5

I wish I could include photographs with my review, but since I can't, you must take my word for it... There is enough mustard in this house to feed the 8th Army for a millennium! Could use ziplock bags & plastic wrap, but there is plenty of salt, pepper, mustard, ketchup, flour, sugar, baking powder & a few canned goods. So much for the kitchen (which is very nice, by the way!)

This house is perfect! The view is perfect, the peace is perfect, the seclusion is perfect, the elk calling from the meadow at night is perfect, the mule deer eating apples on the lawn are perfect, the fussy turkey hens squabbling over who is in charge are perfect, the DARK night sky with a clear view of the Milky Way is perfect. The whole thing, just perfect. What else is there to say? As others HAVE said, it's location is central to Bryce & Zion. There are 2 or 3 places within a 15 mile drive to eat out. It should be some kind of a Class C Felony to turn the TV on! That porch is all the entertainment a person should need! That and maybe a book to read after dark. I have been here before and will be back as often as I can possibly manage. It is wonderful, and you can feel your blood pressure go down the minute you arrive.

Having said all that, if you need constant stimulation to feel happy, get nervous when you can't get a cell signal, or think nature is something you watch on NatGeo, this is not the place for you. There is no cell service, no WiFi and no land line telephone. There IS peace, solitude and silence broken only by the wind in the trees, bird songs in the morning or the call of a bull elk at night. Perfect! I have 875 characters remaining and I should take them all up repeating Perfect, Perfect, Perfect...

Perfect Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We just returned home from a great vacation location. This home is great for Zion, Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon. We truly enjoyed the wildlife that was at the home. The elk, deer and turkey were a pleasure to watch after a day of sightseeing. The cabin had all the essentials needed. The seclusion was wonderful. Would definitely return if in this area again.

Perfect place to come home to

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week with the ranch house as our base for day trips to Bryce Canyon, Zion, the Grand Staircase, Cedar Breaks, and even one overnight to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (and had planned to do a day at Antelope Canyon and the Colorado River rafting trip at Glen Canyon, but our rafting was cancelled due to a rock slide). In an area where everything is pretty far apart, the house is about as centrally located as it could be, and for such a small house it had everything we needed to be comfortable. We are also wildlife fans and were certainly not disappointed -- the deer, elk and turkeys appeared every day, and we especially appreciated the days on which the owners dumped a load of apples near the driveway so we could see them even better. Loved the parks, loved the house and thoroughly enjoyed our week! Do get your groceries in Cedar City on the way in... very good advice that we are happy we followed.

Nature at its best

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I needed a get away after a business conference in Las Vegas. This home was perfectly situated between Zion and Bryce Canyons for day hiking. We loved the peaceful surroundings and enjoyed watching the abundant wildlife in the front yard. Although the home was off the main highway a bit, this added to the enjoyment of our own little slice of heaven enjoying the beauty of the area.
