What makes this house unique

Blodgett Landing was the first colony to settle lake Sunapee and has rich and interesting heritage. 3 Blodgett was the starting off point of this old Colonial community. The stone fireplace, post and beam, and old hard wood floors absolutely take you back to this time. And unlike some of the homes from that era, Blodgett Landing has good size rooms that can accommodate your family and friends comfortably.

It was fun staying in a historic home with wood beams and stone fireplace. Lynn was a great communicator and hostess.

Owner and location were great!

  • 4 of 5

The owner was very responsive and available when needed! Great location! The home has a rustic camp like feel that we weren't expecting but the space satisfied our annual family NYE weekend getaway. Linens and towels were provided which was nice not to have to pack those bulky items. Yard was nice for the kids to play in the snow!

Family had a great time

  • 3 of 5

Our family is from Florida and we rented this house for a Christmas/ Wedding celebration. The layout of the house and roomsize was adequate to fit 17 people. However the house was not very clean. There was a lot of dust and was not vacuumed. The bathrooms needed a good scrub. The wifi was horrible. Many of us could not get good signal strength. Once we got passed all this, our family had a great time. We had lots of snow, went skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, built snowmen ect... its was the best family vacation ever.

Family Friendly Basecamp

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a spectacular, story-book fall weekend with the family at this home. It is close to 89 and is the perfect jumping-off point for lots of local adventures. The house easily accommodated our eight adults and three children, with just enough space for all at the big kitchen table. The open concept living room comfortably hosted both relaxation and playtime with the kids. Owners were incredibly responsive to all inquiries leading up to our stay. One of the more understated features of the house is the access to a beautiful, lakeside neighborhood with light (and slow) traffic which was great for lots of family walks.

Great Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful weekend in this beautifully maintained colonial home. Family getaway with 7 adults and 3 grandchildren. Husband and I took the downstairs bedroom with private bath while 3 grown kids and spouses/girlfriends took the upstairs bedrooms. 3 grandkids also slept upstairs in the bunk room. All rooms very spacious and very clean. Ample towels and linens and even beach towels. Kitchen very well equipped and well stocked with paper supplies. Plenty of room for all of us to gather in the great room playing board games, card games, and just have great conversations. Grounds were immaculate and very well kept. Gas grill a plus as we grilled two nights out of the three. Brought corn hole boards with us and plenty of room for tournament play. Short walk to the nice clean beach. Think we may have started a new family tradition and will definitely look into renting again next year.
