Paso Canyon Ranch
Robert and Debra grew up in the San Fernando Valley among orange groves and farm land. While living in Los Angeles Debra and Robert made the dynamic duo building custom homes in the Malibu area. With Debra's eye for design and Robert's know how their finished projects were nothing short of stunning. In the early 2000's they decided that they wanted to get back to their roots and came up to Paso Robles. Although the Paso Canyon Ranch property was beyond distressed, Debra saw potential where no one else could. When the ranch was purchased it had almost no vegetation to speak of and the residence was in a state of disrepair. Over the coming year they spent their time planting trees and renovating the property while living in the one bedroom that was habitable.
Once again they have managed to do the impossible and in the process have created a little piece of paradise nestled in the heart of wine country.
The home was great. You couldn't ask for a more private retreat. Debra was so easy to work with. We will definitely go back.
We had a blast and the owners were very accommodating and friendly!
4 of us stayed at the Paso Canyon Ranch and were very comfortable. There are three bedrooms that could comfortably fit two people per bed. Any more people than that would be a little much for this house. Plenty of clean towels and linens and the hot tub worked great. The owner was very nice and super easy to work with. Uber ride to downtown Paso was cheap and only took about 10 minutes. There weren't any sponges available to clean dishes, so maybe request those from the owner before you stay there, and bring your own drinking water because there isn't a Brita filter or filtered water system on the refrigerator door. We definitely recommend Paso Canyon Ranch!
We always look forward to our long weekend getaways to Paso. Staying out in the country really added to it. Paso Canyon Ranch put us in that relax mode we were hoping for. We will be back!
We stayed at this wonderful property for the first time, and were impressed with the privacy, and tranquil outdoor space. Our group typically eats out when on vacation, but this time we were inspired to barbeque and eat on the patio after a day of wine tasting. No crowds or waiting times, no driving after dinner. The kitchen was fully stocked, so making breakfast frittatas were a breeze before heading out for the day. The interior was clean and comfortable, had a nice layout, and was air conditioned - which was nice, given that it was 105 degrees during our stay. We will revisit for sure.
