Really pretty cabin in the mountains

Super pretty, super secluded, great view. It's too bad it was too cold for the pool, but we enjoyed the heck out of the spa! Bed was comfortable, and having dish tv was a nice touch

Spacious and comfortable home, great place to relax and unwind and take in the beautiful scenery!

  • 5 of 5

Kim and Keith's place is a wonderful place to relax. There's plenty of room and the kitchen is well stocked with amenities. The hot tub is great. We didn't use the pool during our stay but it looked very nice. There is so much room to sprawl out and relax bit inside and outside the house. We loved enjoying our morning coffee on the deck while watching the hummingbirds and other little birdies. We even had a bunny visitor one morning. They have a very handy binder at the house with menus and restaurant recommendations, movies, games, etc. We'll definitely be staying here again!

A wonderful property in a wonderful location.

  • 5 of 5

We have had a fantastic stay at Knarly Oaks. After a week of sightseeing in San Francisco it was the perfect countryide retreat for our family of 4. The property had everything we needed both inside and outside. The children loved the pool and it was certainly lovely to have a dip after some long hot walks in Yosemite.

The owner, Keith, was very quick to respond to all communications and we felt looked after.

The highlight for us was the numerous visitors we had walking through the grounds

Perfect cozy winter getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved our weekend stay at Knarly Oaks. Kim & Keith did a fantastic job reaching out and making sure we were set up for our stay. Upon arrival, everything was very neat and clean. The kitchen is well prepped if you plan on cooking a simple meal for a night in. The views were simply breathtaking, especially at night when you could see out over the valley. The hot tub was a perfect way to end our long days of hiking, and we appreciated the porch swing!

If you're planning on going to Yosemite during your stay, it's very close. A gas station and general store are close by as well, which we found extremely helpful.

Overall, this is a must-stay for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We're already talking about coming back!

Lovely location with a few minor drawbacks

  • 4 of 5

We so loved the hot tub and how the property is private, nestled in the hills, a classic Northern California experience. Home is clean and well appointed including linens, some properties don't provide this fyi ( I mean who travels with spare sheets and towels, not me). Our main issue was the sleeping arrangements: 3 boys ages 11-18 were ok to share spare bedroom, with one sleeping on floor but it is crammed, which is ok as we were mostly there to visit Yosemite. Oldest daughter slept on living room pull out which is in need of new mattress. The pool had a cleaning issue that the owner addressed later in our stay. Owner good about prompt deposit refund after we left. House is 45 minutes (our time) from Yosemite, road is windy so be ready to drive. We in general were satisfied with our stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We wished you had asked about your planned sleeping arrangements prior to your arrival. We would have suggested your daughter in the second bedroom, and your sons use the queen sofa bed and supplied air mattresses in the living room, which has a lot of space. We did just add a sofa mattress mat to the sofa bed based on your comments. We had already added additional springs and wires to the frame, and replaced the sofa pad with a high end memery foam pad, but obviously was not quite enough.

Anniversary weekend trip

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the house and how private it was. The weather could have been better the first couple of days, but we did get one pool day in. We would definitely come back!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words, and we would love to have you back. We really did need the rain, although it is usually a lot more dry in May.
