About the property

Charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo next to Canyon Lodge

Charming 2 bedroom and 2 bath family owned condo located at the base of Mammoth Mountain's Canyon Lodge, just a 10 minute walk to the lifts and slopes and 1 mile away from the village. We're also just a short walk to Warming Wall for some rock climbing in the summer and next to the uptown/downtown bike/ski trails. There is a shuttle stop in front of the condo, which can take you to canyon lodge (only 1 stop away!) or down to the village. During the winter season (nov - april), the blue line runs from the village to Canyon Lodge every 15 minutes. The summer trolley runs from the village to Mammoth West every 20 minutes.

Come up and enjoy outdoor recreaction unrivaled in the west while staying in our nicely decorated, two-story condo. The condo includes two downstairs bedrooms with queen size beds, two downstairs bathrooms, nice towels and linens, a large living room with a sleeper sofa and flat screen tv, a dining area that seats 6-8, a fully stocked kitchen, and wireless internet.

The development has beautifully landscaped grounds among tall pine and aspen trees and a large year-round jacuzzi and sauna. The swimming pool is open in the summer, when you can enjoy the fabulous fishing, hiking, boating, water-skiing, golfing, horseback riding, summer concerts, mountain biking on mammoth's bike park, and much, much more. This is not a hotel-style lodging; rather it is a clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, cozy mountain home with a wood burning stove, in a small condominium development with easy access to both summertime and winter activities.

Exceptional! 5/5 -

Charming condo next to Canyon Lodge

Cozy and close.

  • 5 of 5

This place was excellent, had everything you could want from a vacation rental at Mammoth and was super close, a VERY short walk up the road and you're in the parking lot at Canyon Lodge. Dietrich was very responsive with our questions. Highly recommend this place - when I'm not trying to book it too!

Clean, well kept, stocked, very comfortable, and close to the lodge

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable stay at the condo. Great location and well stocked. We didn't have any issues other than the wood couldn't be used for the stove because it was damp from too much snow. Since this winter (2017) is so wet I would suggest picking some wood up at the store. Also remember in the winter time because they have to plow you can't long term park in front of the condo's, just pick ups and drop offs. We found plenty of parking, so no big deal. We would highly recommend this condo and the owners.

Excellent plus

The host, Dietrich was helpful flexible and the condo is the perfect summer /winter location. Close to the road for parking and unloading in the snow and right above the jacuzzi but no noise. Dietrich even refunded our last night because a storm was coming.

Awesome stay at a very clean, roomy cabin that was a walk from the slopes

  • 5 of 5

Set up a trip months prior with the hope that we would get a little snow and lucked in to the biggest storm we could have hoped for. Beside the great cabin with tons of games, movies and wood for a fire, the jacuzzi was nice and hot and surrounded by snow. The ping pong table had plenty of paddles and extra balls with a nice big tv in the rec room. Too many good things to list. Amazing time

Best property for the location & cost

  • 5 of 5

The owner was very easy to contact and concerning for our trip.

The property was better than pictures and expected. It was enough space for 2 families and equipped all necessary home goods.

Only 5 min. walk to Canyon Lodge but, since we had 2 parking permits we just dropped kids and skis and drove back and parked my car and walked few min. only myself. (Very convenient).

I definitely come back to here.

Mammoth Mountain - Canyon Lodge
Car: recommended

The mammoth lakes area boasts an incredible variety of outdoor activities. These include the wintertime snow activities of downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, etc. Summer brings world-class fishing (now year round in selected waters), hiking, pack trips, biking, hot springs, seasonal golf (two courses locally), swimming, tennis, wildlife viewing, and day trips to yosemite (in season), bodie, the devil's postpile, death valley, and mono lake. Year round outlet shopping, fine dining and festivals abound. It is hard to have enough time to do everything that the mammoth lakes area offers!
