Annie and the home were perfect for what we were looking for. My 9 person family had enough space and room to have a great weekend. The living room was great for movies and ping pong. The kitchen was big enough to cook for everyone and the dining room table was great for meals and board games. Being close to the ski mountains (Smuggler's) was great for us and the real draw in coming to Cambridge.
Annie gave us our space and was very accommodating, which was very much appreciated.
The only drawback was the single shower in the house, but through good coordination we made it work.
This house felt like home right away. The layout was fantastic for our group. The dining area and living room easily accommodated our group of 11 (14 years to 71 years). The foyer with basketball hoops on opposite walls was a favorite for players and spectators alike.
There was so much to do ... Sledding the hill out the back door, snowshoeing the hills and fields along the river, playing the keyboard, knee hockey, quiet corners to read, chimineia on the deck, games, skiing down the street!
We cooked several amazing meals and had everything we needed.
Would love the opportunity to utilize this house in all the rest of the seasons!
Just stayed here for my birthday with some friends over MLK Jr weekend and if I could give this place and Annie 10 starts I would. Where to start... Location, location, location! 10 mins to the market in Cambridge made it very easy for us to get groceries and 10 mins to the lifts in smugglers notch, yet in a very private and quiet area. The house has a lot more room than the pictures show. The living room can comfortably accommodate the group of 10 to watch a movie or a football game at night and the dinning/kitchen area is very comfortable as well and has all utensils and everything you need. Annie also left a welcome basket which was a nice touch along with linens and towels. We were lucky and had snow over the weekend so we used the sleds in the back and that was a lot of fun. Last but not least, Annie is great, easy to deal with, and made us feel at home at all times. Needless to say, I highly recommend this place and my only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer.
My family and I rented Annie's home over a four day weekend so we could attend my cousin's wedding at Boyton Farms. Immediately entering the home I recognized how clean and organized the home was. Also, I can't say enough about how accomodating and comfortable Annie made us feel. She made sure our stay was perfect. The view off the back deck was amazing, we would sip coffee in the morning look out at Mt. Mansfield. Then after exploring around the mountains and doing some shopping my 4 year old daughter and I took a long nap on the hammock. The day was perfect. The location is great, close to Smuggs and Stowe but at the same time away from it all. Thanks for helping our family have another great trip to Vermont! -Jon
We enjoyed a wonderful week-long stay. Everything was as advertised. Beautiful house. Very homey. Gorgeous views. Beds all extremely comfortable (one of the most comfortable kings we've ever slept on). The kids - and their grandmother! - sledded on the slope in the back yard. Fun games of ping-pong in the family room.
Location is also ideal. Short 15 minute drive to Smuggler's Notch. Conveniently situated between Cambridge and Jeffersonville for easy access to both towns' amenities.
Really an ideal spot for families with children, and enough room to invite friends and extended family for overnights. We enjoyed meeting the lovely owner, and we hope to return soon!
This lovely house was more than what we expected! The view from practically everywhere was just stunning! We couldn't take enough pictures :) It was very clean and complete with all the necessities. The owner truly thought of everything to make all their guests comfortable and happy. The board games and Wii system for the kids and even adults were very useful. The christmas decorations in and out of the house made it very festive! The welcome gift basket and the owner's visit were definitely an extra special touch :) Unfortunately it was icy when we arrived so we couldn't enjoy the sledding area on the side of the house :( Maybe next time. It was also a plus that this house is close (about 10 min drive) to the Smugglers' Notch resort mountain where we enjoyed snowboarding for 2 straight days! Overall this house is highly recommended for families of all ages! The owner is super friendly and such a fantastic communicator which made our vacation planning smooth as can be!
