Lovely garden aspect - light and bright - quiet with large living/dining
- english, french
We live on site in the main house. The Coach House is at the foot of our garden sectioned off by a gated fence. We built it in 2009/2010.
Megan purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why Megan chose Barnes
Everyone loves it ; spacious living dining kitchen, nice aspect looking out of huge ground floor west facing windows onto a bay tree in a stoned private patio, well equipped, modern underfloor heating, completely private despite huge windows, light; cosy in winter. Comes with a rental car option. Car outside the flat - you can rent it by the day week or month. See https://carclub.easycar.com/ search by location or postcode you want Barnes or SW13 9JR.

Wonderful place in Barnes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back. The house is in a great location within walking distance to many amenities as well as easy access to public transport. The kitchen had all the necessities and the beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. We will definitely be back!
Perfect for our needs!
Very good with all the necessary facilities
Lovely place to stay
We enjoyed our week at the Coach House. Barnes is a lovely, quiet residential neighbourhood. Not having to listen to traffic and sirens all night long is heaven! It is just a 20 minute walk to the Hammersmith Underground station so getting into London was easy. Near the station is a Tesco Express and a Marks and Spencer’s food hall so it is convenient to pick up groceries for meals.
The Coach House has everything that you could need for your stay. The photos don’t give you an accurate idea of how large the kitchen/sitting area is. It was lovely to have the space to spread out and relax after a busy day sightseeing. There was plenty of closet space and drawers in the bedroom to accommodate our clothes so we didn’t have to live out of our suitcases. My husband has a bad back and he said it was the most comfortable bed on our four week trip to England.
Thank you Megan for a wonderful stay. We hope to stay with you again soon.
You are too kind, but wonderful guests are just that!
Megan was fantastic and the house was great! Cozy, well equipped, in an easy-to-find area. The private gate entrance made coming and going a breeze and the in-floor heating was a great touch. Large soaking tub and fast WiFi. Megan was fast to respond and ever so helpful. Cannot recommend enough. Will definitely be staying again.
Great location and lovely, well equipped flat.
Very nice to be away from central London and yet only a short tube trip in. Lovely to walk over Hammersmith Bridge to the tube. The property itself is quiet, really well equipped and comfortable. I would definitely book it again.
The location made it very easy to use public transport to museums, palaces etc. We had everything we needed at the Coach House.
We are in Barnes, an upmarket little community within 200 metres of the river Thames & 1.6 kms from Hammersmith which is a major urban transport hub. We are separated from Hammersmith by the river and by historic & beautiful Hammersmith Bridge.
Hammersmith has all tube lines, so getting to the centre is not a problem and doesn't take much time.
Barnes is peaceful and quiet with shops, cafes, pubs and a pond.
There is a bus outside the door of the flat to and from Hammersmith every 15 mins. Alternatively you can walk 6 minutes (500 meters) up the road to Hammersmith Bridge where there are buses every minute of the day.
We live on site - the flat is at the bottom of our garden beyond a pergola and trellising in a detached building with its own entrance to the street.
