About The Owner

We live on the property and love all the amenities that are within walking distance. I grew up in Boise and after a time in another state, came home to stay.

Boise has grown up the past few years. Downtown is busy but biking, hiking, sightseeing and water sports are still easily accessible.

I love living in 83702!!!

The Owner purchased this house in 2006

Why The Owner chose Boise

When we purchased this property is was in need of a little TLC! We are very proud of the work we have done with remodeling and landscaping.

What makes this house unique

This location is close to neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops which makes it fun. We frequent the stores and shops and everyone knows us now.

Sweet and affordable

  • 4 of 5

We travel with our two dogs and this rental house was perfect for us. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and looking at all the beautiful old houses, and the river trail, is a few blocks away and is a great place to run or bike. We will certainly stay here again when we are in Boise.

"Tin Pan Alley"

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in a Tin Pan Alley cottage for 5 nights a few weeks ago. It was cozy and clean and felt like home.

On our last night there we asked the owners if we could have friends over to have dinner and play some

music. The were very gracious and said of course. It was a wonderful evening. When back in Boise we

will stay there again. Thank You ! The Pickens Family

Excellent Home Away From Home!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage at Tin Pan Alley met our needs perfectly! We were in Boise for most of the winter to ski, hike, explore the city and be closer to our children, one of whom lives in Boise. The cottage is conveniently located to the city center making it a perfect choice for travel by foot, and Boise is a charm to discover!!! We arrived on a cold January evening and walked into a warm, clean and inviting environment. The cottage has everything you can imagine to make for a comfortable, extended stay. Off the beaten path, yet accessible to grocery stores, restaurants, brew pubs, shopping and the great outdoors. We travel with our dog which made the cottage even more appealing since it is pet friendly and has a lovely yard for her to scamper about in. If you are looking for a place to stay and want something more like home than a motel you need look no further. Nancy was a gracious host and we look forward to returning in the future! Thanks for a wonderful winter:-)

Clean and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The Twin Cottage was a nice centrally located home base for our recent stay in Boise over the Thanksgiving holiday. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. While we didn't use more than the coffee maker and a few plates, glasses and utensils, the kitchen appeared well stocked. The cottage is small with an eclectic, "almost" cluttered, vibe but the owner's "open arms/pet are welcome" policy made our stay well worth it and motivated us to take the dogs on lots of walks to check out the charming north end neighborhood. The only reason we didn't give it a five star rating is because it was drafty and cold (the furnace and space heaters ran the whole time and helped somewhat) and a fenced yard for the dogs would have made it perfect. Again, the place met our basic criteria of being clean and comfortable and it was a fair value. We'd definitely stay again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. Given that the outside temperature was in the teens and never got above freezing during that week, I'm sure the heaters had a big job to do. The weather channel even had our area listed as "bitter cold." We saw your dogs as you were walking them and we all thought they were so cute! Thank you for considering us for a future stay in Boise.

Quaint and Tucked Away Cottage

  • 5 of 5

My fiancee and I have stayed at this cottage multiple times now and every time the experience is just great. It is always very clean and has a cozy environment. Nancy is always great at communicating and being available if any issues arise. If you want a small cozy little cottage for a trip to Boise this one is for you. West side drive in is walking distance so go get a burger and shake!

This was the second year we stayed at this cottage, and we hope to return next year. The owners are fabulous and easy to work with. Our eldest son and eldest nephew live in the area so it was a good location for us. The cottage was clean, well equipped and affordable. The northend area is a great place to stay. Close to everything - markets, restaurants, etc. we recommend the Westside DriveIn. Great place!
