About Anna Anderson

We love that Tahoe is such a great place to be in both the summer and the winter. During the winter months we love to ski and in the summer we enjoy mountain biking, hiking and getting out on the lake for water sports and swimming. The nearby Truckee river is also great for a leisurely raft down.

You will really appreciate the attention to design, the layout and how solid the house is without feeling overwhelmed.

We look forward to having you stay at our property, you are very welcome quests and we wish you as much enjoyment from this place that we have.

Anna Anderson purchased this house in 1989

Why Anna Anderson chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

We chose this property because of it's location, it is on the sunny side of Alpine Meadows which makes a huge difference in the winter for creating a cosy and warm home. We also love the attention to aesthetics that went into planning the Juniper Mountain community, the homes are all on large lots giving good privacy between homes and there are no unsightly overhead power cables. Being located on the ridge that separates Squaw Valley from Alpine Meadows gives easy access for hiking in Squaw Valley as well as Alpine Meadows.

Convenient location, beautiful home & excellent customer service!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing time! Not only is the home conveniently located down the street from Alpine Meadows Ski Resort (literally only 1.9 miles away), but it was so beautiful and cozy! There was way more than enough space for my family of 10. We were able to enjoy each other's company in the living room while joining around the fire, in kitchen around the island, and up in the loft on the couches. We made so many memorable moments in this house over this past weekend; I can't wait to come back!

I've rented a handful of vacation homes in Tahoe, but I would have to rate this rental as my #1 pick because of the owner, Anna! From the moment I e-mailed her inquiring about the home's availability to the day I checked out, I knew I was making the right choice by booking with her. She responded to all of my messages quickly and thoroughly; I truly can't thank her enough for her excellent customer service considering I booked pretty last minute! I've never dealt with an owner who was so helpful, accommodating, and proactive (she even sent me weather updates!).

Thank you, Anna, for a wonderful weekend!

Surpassed all our expectations

  • 5 of 5

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to Anna, the homeowner, for sharing her beautiful home with us.

We were a party of 9 adults up for a skiing weekend and we were so impressed with the house. In the photos it looks lovely but in person it's even more amazing than we ever imagined. The open plan living area worked perfectly for entertaining and we all comfortably sat round the large dining table for dinner. The kitchen was awesome too - we managed to prep two big dinners with ease. It had all the utensils and was a great space to work in.

My husband and I had the top master bedroom and our pups really enjoyed their stay too. Our big dog Zeus, who is a big heat lover, enjoyed sleeping in such a warm home. There is another master bedroom on the ground floor with a fireplace that our friends said was very comfortable and the other two bedrooms were large enough for another two couples. This house is great for a large family or friend gathering because there is just so much space. There are 3 bathrooms too which are all lovely and big and plenty of good water pressure for a nice hot shower.

Parking in the double garage was also so nice and plenty of space to drive in with our roof box.

The hot tub was equally lovely and perfect after a hard day skiing.

Finally just want to point out that communicating with Anna, the homeowner, was so easy. It's always nice to have such a responsive host that really cares about the property and their guests.

Lovely mountain home, we had a great holiday

  • 5 of 5

We hosted Christmas here for 3 families - 6 adults and 4 kids - and had a wonderful time.

The location was super convenient for the skiers and snowboarders, and comfy and well-equipped for the folks who wanted to relax all day. The kitchen equipment is much nicer than you usually see at a vacation rental, and we prepared and served some nice meals. The A/V setup was also easy to use.

There's a very large living room on the main level, and then a den/media room upstairs, which was great when the older kids wanted to hang out by themselves. The upper and lower bedrooms are both very comfortable master suites. The other two bedrooms are smaller, and pretty much just for sleeping.

Juniper Mountain road is the sunny side of the valley, so I'm sure it's a beautiful spot in the summer as well, the lake is only 5 or 6 miles away.

The best Tahoe getaway !

  • 5 of 5

This property was everything that was promised and much more. In fact, it was better than we expected. It was spacious, furnished elegantly and comfortably with detail and care, and the views from every room were amazing. All of the amenities were top notch and the property was wonderfully maintained. It was evident that the homeowners really take care and great pride in their property. Everything we needed was readily available. The homeowners were very responsive from the time of the reservation until our departure and it really felt more like we were visiting a family or friend's home than a rental. They seemed to go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The property is located close to everything, including the ski slopes, and we seriously could have stayed another week! I highly recommend this property and my family hopes to return again... and again!

Fantastic House - Such a Treat!

  • 5 of 5

This is a truly amazing house! Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) and our friends (also 2 adults and 2 kids) spent 6 days/5 nights at this wonderful home over President's Day weekend. The house itself is phenomenal - perfectly set up for two families, with two master bedrooms and plenty of space for all of the kids. The house is very spacious with several areas to relax. We were able to put a movie on for the kids in one living area while enjoying wine and conversation by the fire in another living area. The owners are very thoughtful about their guests, with everything well labeled and easy to find. I especially appreciated all of the stocked firewood that made evenings at home such a treat. The owners were also so responsive to questions and recommendation requests. The location is also perfect - just a short drive to both Alpine and Squaw. This made things so easy getting our kids out in time for ski school in the mornings. There is also an amazing wooded area and path just behind the house that was great for a little nature walk/hike with the kids. This is a great house - we'll definitely be coming back!

Wonderful house and great trip

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this home as a group of 8 (4 adults, 4 young children...all between 3-6 years old) and were extremely happy with the house. The location in Alpine is terrific. Not too far from Squaw (we skiied at Squaw since they snow wasn't terrific) and even closer to Alpine. Just a short walk up the road from the house is a terrific trail you can hike which leads directly to one of Alpine's runs...loved taking my dog and kids for walks/hikes there. House was clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need/want. It is a lot of work to get all your bags up to the house from the garage, but once there, we were extremely comfortable. Great setup for two families with kids staying close together between the two. We would definitely come back! Thanks for a great trip to Tahoe!
