Skiff Point Guest House was originally founded by Janice Parker. Jan's daughter; Kristin is the owner and hostess carrying on her mother's legacy. Kristin has been running the inn over the past three plus years now. This is a very special place to myself and my guests. I have had guests that have returned every year after year which makes this a home away from home for many of my guests who have become dear friends. 'Come as strangers and leave as friends'. Following in my mother's footsteps I am carrying on her legacy.....
I love making this a special place for my guests, giving them a wonderful place to stay and enjoy. I always leave little special touches for my guests including treats like dark chocolate, perhaps a bottle of wine for those that are staying for a week or more, fresh flowers, bath salts, and more... I want my guests to feel like they are really getting a treat and I love being an innkeeper. Your comfort is so important to me!
My mother tastefully decorated the units with her gift of interior designing and a great eye for beauty! I had made some wonderful changes to the suites and am continuing to make upgrades to the units to make them more luxurious and inviting for everyone to enjoy.
As your hostess I am happy to help you make your travel plans, personally talk to you about any questions you might have and provide all that I can to make your visit that much more special.
Kristin Sheets purchased this studio in 1983

My daughter and I spent a wonderful long weekend at the Skiff Point Loft. The views are amazing and the atmosphere peaceful. Kristen, the owner, was gracious and had everything ready for our stay. We explored on the island and off. This is a place I will definitely stay at again.
my stay here at Skiff Point was delightful and wonderful and I am sad to see it end. Everything was as described and Kristin is a wonderful hostess.
The gracious owners know how to extend true hospitality and provide such an inviting and accommodating atmosphere for their guests. The added bonus is the spacious deck and spectacular, ever changing views. Even better than pictures can capture! I look forward to returning!
We loved our stay! It was close enough to town and the parks but far enough away for peace and quiet! We stayed for NYE and were not disappointed with the view of Seattle. My son loves using the binoculars! Kristin was very nice and made us feel right at home!
We had a wonderful stay in the Loft Suite! Our Hostess was welcoming, friendly, and had many ideas to share for our island visit. The property is beautiful and it is very relaxing. We will, no doubt, be returning!
This stay at Skiff Point Loft could not have been better. From the initial welcome by Kristin the owner, to the views to the accommodations, everything was outstanding. First off, the views the views the views....right on the sound with Seattle off to the right, amazing. It was quiet and restful (although we did wake up to a seal bark one morning); being on Bainbridge allowed us to have access to everything Seattle has to offer but get away from the city at the end of the day (the ferry ride is very convenient). The Loft itself had everything we needed, we cooked every night and had breakfast on the deck in the mornings. We are so happy we chose Skiff Point Loft!
