We are a family of five with three young boys.My husband was born and raised in San Francisco. I grow up in Ireland. We bought this home as a vacation rental and unfortunately with our young boys sports and activities we do not use it as much as we would like.
Norma Lynch purchased this house in 2010
We know you will love this house as much as we do!It is an extremely private home.Great for entertaining with family and friends. Only one mile walk to the town of Glen Ellen with great restaurants and bars.
This is a very warm and cozy home it is the perfect place to relax unwind and enjoy family and friends.
Our family (5 + doggy) completely enjoyed every inch of this house and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. The owners were available and helpful and provided every amenity, everything was clean and comfortable, and the location was about as good as it could be! We hope to return very soon. Thank you, Norma!
Norma's home in Glen Ellen is lovely, spacious, well-stocked (kitchen, towels, etc) and the perfect spot for our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 boys). Great backyard, patio, garden, basketball hoop (boys loved) and close to everything we wanted to do in Glen Ellen--the winery tour at Benziger Winery (fantastic!), Jack London State Park. Great village market in town for groceries and fabulous Mexican food at Juanita, Juanita's (super friendly owner). The only down side of the home is that it's on a very busy road. I like to run in the morning and there is no shoulder on the road so I had to drive somewhere to run. But that would not keep us from staying here again. Loved it!
We stayed at this house over the past weekend and it was absolutely amazing! The house was very cute, so charming and equiped with little things that made the stay easier (i.e. hairdryer, spices, plastic bags, etc). We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Sonoma County.
The house is very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The backyard is a treat. Very private. I will definitely rent this property again. Thank you, Norma , for graciously letting us enjoy your beautiful vacation home.
My adult children and I had the great fortune to find the beautifully appointed jem. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining. The owner left us some delicious wines and a selection of imported beers. My children played basketball for hours. We just loved this home and plan to return soon.
We arrived when it was dark, and drove by the property many times. Its was extremely hard to find. When we finally found the house, we had to hunt around in the dark for the key. There was absolutely no cell service, there was wifi, but messages took forever to come through. The driveway was not paved and very steep, making pulling in terrifying and the SUVs kept slipping. The house was full of the owners stuff. Nothing could be stored in drawers or hung up as every nook was full of the owners personal property. One of the perks of renting a house is having your own kitchen, but the refrigerator and freezer were full of the owners food and beers, which limited what we could store. Lastly, there was a cat at the property that kept sneaking in the house if the door was open for a second. It had a water bowl outside and there was a box of cat food for it inside. I really wish we would have known about this before, as someone in our group is/was allergic to cats.
One mile walk to the beautiful town of Glen Ellen!
