This 'Platinum-Rated' two-story, three bedroom, three bath corner unit sleeps 8-9 guests and feels more like a home than a condo.
The secluded, upstairs master bedroom has a beautiful king size bed with luxury 400 thread count sheets and a balcony with an amazing view. The master bathroom has double sinks, a Jacuzzi tub and glass enclosed shower. There is a wall mounted flat screen and plenty of room for your things in the huge master closet (which you can put the portable crib in there).
One downstairs guest room has a beautiful queen size bed with luxury linens and an en suite bathroom with shower. There is a flat screen TV with a DVD player and plenty of storage. The kids' bunk room has one set of twin size bunk beds and a trundle. This room sleeps three comfortably and has its own flat screen and DVD player. The kids' bunk room has an adjacent bathroom with a full size shower.
The main living room features vaulted celings and amazing views of the mountain. Natural light surrounds you as there are two story windows throughout the space. There is a warm leather sofa that converts to a queen size bed and two recliners for TV watching and afternoon napping. The living room features a flat screen TV with a DVD player and a fireplace that warms the room. The dining room features a custom dining room table made of reclaimed wood and stunning antler chandelier. The dining room table will seat 7-8 comfortably with additional seating at the granite bar. New as of Fall 2015, wood floors now complement the living/dining/bar area.
The kitchen has knotty alder cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Just off of the bar area and perfect for outdoor entertaining, is a second balcony with additional seating. The unit also has a washer and dryer (a must have for families)
There are very few properties on the mountain with heated, ungrounded parking and Black Bear Lodge is one of them! No more scraping your windshield or having to warm up your car. An elevator takes you and your luggage from the garage directly to the second floor. If you don't feel like driving your car, the shuttle bus stop is right on the corner of the street (about 25 yards). This makes traveling to and from town or the base area super easy.
Additional features of the lodge: hot tub, large lodge room with TV for gatherings, ski locker storage and an outdoor gas grill. The kitchen is stocked with quality pots and pans, utensils and all of your basic cooking needs. All of these things help to create the perfect family friendly vacation destination.
The minimum age for all persons in this property is 25 years, excepting children (of all ages) with their parent or legal guardian.
Please note: all bookings for the Summer of 2017 made before January 1, 2017 require a seven night minimum stay. After January 1, 2017, bookings will be open to the standard three night minimum.
After vacationing in Crested Butte for the last seven years, we felt is was time to become a part of this community. We recently purchased this condo because of the beautiful scenery year round. Every season beats our expectations. The skiing is amazing, the people are friendly and helpful and we truly believe it is 'The last great ski town.'
shay purchased this condo in 2014
We have continued to return to Crested Butte as it always impresses. The area offers great skiing with reliable snow every year. Summertime in Crested Butte is even better with outstanding mountain biking, hiking and fishing. The town's rustic charm is captivating and lives up to it's titles as the 'last great ski town in Colorado' and the 'Wildflower Capital of Colorado.'
We chose unit #208 at Black Bear Lodge because of the close proximity to the lifts, the split floor plan on the corner (no neighbors on one side or above) and because the light was absolutely beautiful. The unit doesn't feel cramped or closed in at all and is very easy to maintain.
We love to sit on the balcony and have our morning coffee. When we are ready to start our day, it is so easy to hop on the recreation trail that is right outside of the lodge or hit the slopes. Black Bear Lodge is beautiful AND easy....things need to be easy and fun when your on vacation. If not, it's not really an enjoyable vacation.
A fabulous property and a wonderful place for a family to meet and enjoy the beauty of Colorado.
Thanks so much for a well-stocked, comfortable home.
The only minor issue with this condo, was the hot water was limited. We had to take several luke warm showers. The other very minor problem was a couple carpet tacks in the master bed room leading into the bathroom were sticking out of the carpet. But the condo, the property and the location was wonderful! It was fully furnished and well stocked and well kepted. Would recommend this condo and property to others. We would also consider staying at this property again.
Best place to stay at BBL! The owners have thought about and provided just about everything for a comfortable and outstanding stay!
We went up for a short week of hiking in the CB area. What a pleasure to stay in this condo. Very well supplied, very clean. We enjoyed the open feeling associated with the windows, vaulted ceilings and views. We had three of our kids with us. The 3 bed, 3 bath was a luxury fit, it would easily accommodate 3 couples. The parking garage, shared BBQ grill, and hot tub gave us the feeling of a small easy to enjoy facility. We've already made reservations to return in the winter. A delightful vacation getaway.
The condo was beyond our expectations. It was well designed for the 6 of us. Everything was of high quality. The location worked well and we enjoyed the balconies. We had one minor problem and it was taken care of that day. We would love to stay again.
The property had a very small kitchen and den for a 3br and 3 bath. We had poor information for the condo that was not received until the last minute while arriving to gain access to the property. I have stayed at multiple condos in Black Bear and knew what to expect but it would be difficult if you had not. The condo was very clean. The biggest draw back was the upstairs master bedroom where it got hot because of only one sliding glass door. I would not stay in this unit again although I like Black Bear condominiums.
Mt. Crested Butte has a family-friendly park at the base area with ice skating and tubing in the winter. During the summer months, visitors can climb the rock wall, jump on the bungee trampoline and play miniature golf. There is a tree line zipline that operates year round. Snow shoe, cross country skiing, biking and hiking trails begin right outside the doors of Black Bear Lodge.
