Situated on the first floor in a 'Montmartois' building, French Kiss is a romantic and cozy hideaway located on in a cobble-stoned passage. The name of the apartment was inspired by Doisneau's 'Le Baiser de L'Hôtel de Ville', which you find prominently featured in the living room. Never was a more romantic image of Paris taken by one of the world's most renowned photographers. Other images of Paris that have circled the world are featured throughout the apartment.
The apartment has been tastefully decorated to give you a feeling of calm and tranquillity even in the busy city of lights. The rooms overlook a small inner courtyard and large windows allow in plenty of natural light.
Living room, bedroom and bathroom are all off the entrance hall with the living room having its own door in case you might need to make use of the sofa bed for a third guest. You will admire the exposed original oak beams in the hall which is a trademark of some of the older buildings in Paris.
So French Kiss could be soon your home for a while in Paris and typical Montmartre.
After more than 10 years abroad, I decided to come back to France and Paris where I was born. I really appreciate living again in Paris, city of light! I am the company manager and take care of the bookings, the check-in, check-out, manage the services proposed during our guests' stay and coordinate with the apartment owners... In Feels Like Home in Paris we have decided to offer you only cosy and comfortable apartments which all have the same services : iPhone for free, laptop, cable TV, wifi, international calls for free during your stay, a personal greeting on arrival, a full welcome basket...By greeting you, it is ike welcoming friends. So à bientôt à Paris!
I would say instead "Why using a professional agency?" To make sure to get what you expect on arrival : a property perfectly clean, somebody waiting for you an arrival, someone on call 7 days a week...So it will really make your stay smoother and easier!
We had a wonderful stay at French Kiss. It is certainly well equipped, comfortable and a great location.
We will definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Paris.
Amazing time and apartment . Stephanie and Jim made sure that everything was ready for us upon our arrival. We stayed 3 weeks and we had a great time. Un gros merci . We loved it.
The apartment was beautifully clean and furnished with everything I needed, including some coffee and tea which was much appreciated. It is in a great area, close to the Metro and with a little supermarket nearby as well as a Fromagerie (French cheese - what can I say?). Jim met me and showed me where everything was - both he and Stephanie were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have a list of the English language channels on the TV - it took me quite a while to track down some news channels I could understand.
We rented the French Kiss for our week long stay in Paris. We were coming to Paris to celebrate our honeymoon and Stephanie pulled out all the stops! We loved our apartment and Stephanie thought of everything that we might need for our stay. When booking our stay Stephanie quickly answered any questions we might have. She was there to greet us when we arrived and made sure to show us all the features of the apartment.
We really enjoyed the Montmartre area. Everything we needed was within a short walk including lots of restaurants, the market, and the metro. We would definitely book with Feels Like Home in the future.
We have used FLHP 5 times so far. Always happy. we have stayed at French Kiss 3 times. Close to so much. Lots right around the apartment. Great that it is on the 1st floor.
Few things to point out. On the weekends, the apartment above us did get a little noisy. This happened on our other visits too. Another is the neighborhood does appear to be kind of on the border. Never did we feel unsafe. The places we went in the direct neighborhood always were friendly and welcoming. There are a few metro stops within walking distance which make it nice.
My wife and I spent three nights at French Kiss. We had booked a nearby apartment with a different owner, but this was cancelled due to a burst pipe and substantial water damage. Fortunately just four weeks before our travel date French Kiss was available, and Stephanie was very efficient in dealing with our new booking, making it quick and easy.
The apartment is ideally situated in a quiet street, but only a few minutes walk from Sacré-Cœur, and the Place de Tertre with its buzz of artists and restaurants. The view from the front of Sacré-Cœur over Paris is spectacular, both day and night; well worth climbing the 160 steps!
Most of central Paris is only about 15 to 20 minutes on the Metro; we went from Abbesses, which is about a 10 minute or so walk away from French Kiss.
Stephanie met us on time at the apartment and was most welcoming. The laptop was particularly welcome, as we could look up details for all the places we wanted to visit. The apartment is well equipped, and I have no reservations in recommending it. We hope to return one day.
I simply adored this apartment, picked it because it had a real bed and a bathtub. There was not one thing that disappointed.
Stephanie and her staff are top with details, professionalism and gave a warm welcome as well as communicated during the stay. I would come back in a heartbeat. The bed was super comfy and I got the rest I needed with the windows in the bedroom able to block out the sun. The closet in the bedroom held all of my clothing for the two weeks as well as my suitcase and shoes (haha, 5 pairs!). I loved how the kitchen/living room was separated with doors and a hallway, it gave such a feeling of home with all of Stephanie's touches. Thank you for everything and I look forward to returning soon!
The area is very well connected in terms of transportation. Our metro stations are Chateau Rouge, Lamarck-Caulaincourt or Jules Joffrin, all within 5-10 minutes.
Bus 85 is a great bus route to use to get to the Luxembourg gardens, St Michel and Notre Dame. Line 80 just around the corner will get you all the way to the Eiffel Tower and Porte de Versailles (for the Parc des Expositions). Metro line 12 connects you to Place de la Concord where you can take a leisurely stroll to the Jardin de Tuileries to arrive at the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, and to the Solferino station where you can connect to the RER C taking your to Versailles. Line 4 at Chateau Rouge - though at times a rather busy line will whisk you to St Michel, Gare du Nord and Chatelet.
The apartment's placement also makes getting to the Sacre Coeur quick and easy. You are less than 2 minutes walk away (if you take the stairs in our street), from one of Paris' breathtaking monuments
