BIKING - - With over 100 miles of trails ranging from novice to professional, Northstar features one of the best mountain biking parks in California. During the summer season, the transport lifts operate full time. The Village has a full-service bike shop where you can rent bikes or repair your flat tire.

TENNIS - - Nestled in the heart of the mountains, the NPOA Tennis Center offers 10 cushioned hard courts in a serene forest setting. Guests are welcome to brush up on their skills, take classes and clinics, compete in tournaments or just play for fun.

About Ramine Killen

We have been skiing at Northstar since 1970 and I was thrilled with our decision to purchase a property on the ski trail in 1978.

Ramine Killen purchased this condo in 1978

Why Ramine Killen chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

The perfect location - right on the ski trail and close to the Village/NPOA Recreation Center - and completely remodeled and appointed residence with every amenity possible to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. It has been an excellent place for my family to share holidays and other specials times together and will surely do the same for friends and family anywhere.

What makes this condo unique

What first attracted us to this condominium was its proximity to the ski trail which means you never again have to drive to a ski resort or lug ski equipment across a parking lot and up the hill. The privacy (top floor end unit of end building at the top of the ski trail) and serene beauty of this cozy space is what made us want to make it mine forever.

Comfortable living space, close access to skiing, and responsive owner.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four had ample room in this cozy, updated condo. We dined at the breakfast bar each morning. The kitchen had everything we needed. The laundry room was right next to the unit and easy to access. We turned on the fire every night and snuggled on the couch for movies. The beds were so comfy! Best of all, the condo was steps away from skiing. We skied in and our each day - returning to the condo for lunch or to peel off a layer. The skiing was fantastic!

I had tons of questions before we arrived and Ramine answered them all. She is super organized and we felt well cared for.

The condo is quiet, private and perfect. Northstar was phenomenal. I highly recommend this place for your ski adventure!

Great spot. Very clean and incredibly convenient.

  • 4 of 5

Great spot for a few days of skiing. Couldn't have been more conveniently located to the slopes. Access to the Recreation Center was an added bonus.

Note: bottom hinge on the door to the ski locker was detached. Needs to be fixed.

Great Location & Tastefully Upgraded Inside

  • 5 of 5

The condo is accessible to the ski slopes and right above Northstar Village. The interior is completely remodeled and had everything we needed for a wonderful ski weekend. My teenage daughter and her friend enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs loft and said the beds were some of the most comfortable they had ever slept in. The condo is an end unit on the 2nd floor, which makes it quiet and private. It was a very enjoyable stay!

A wonderful condo with quick access to the slopes

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with some friends late January through early February. The skiing conditions were ideal, and even better, we were so close to the slopes. All it took was about a minute walk across the parking lot to get to the main run! This allowed us to quickly get to and from the slopes, have lunch in the condo instead of restaurants, and allotted more time to skii.

The condo itself is delightful. It has all the accommodations we needed for kitchen gear, towels, beds, blankets etc. T.V. entertainment was great and the internet was fast. Views from the condo are wonderful and it is quiet at night.

Northstar made it easy to access the rec center and shopping with free shuttle lifts around the mountain. The rec center hot tub was a great way to conclude a day of skiing. Lots of great places to eat on the mountain too, as well as grocery stores nearby.

Hope to return next year.

Great place, location, and owner!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed for 4 nights in January. Great condo - kitchen has everything that you need and having the two queen beds and a half bath up in the loft was perfect for the kids. Also really liked that it was a top floor unit. Really liked the location - it was a nice walk to the village (just far enough to get the blood flowing after a big lunch). Ramine was very responsive, and was just awesome in helping us out when we got snowed in.

Would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again.

Perfect location and awesome accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed for a softball tournament in July. Wonderful set-up and literally everything you needed at your finger tips. The kids loved the huge loft and ability to take the shuttle to the pool or anywhere else in Northstar. The complimentary laundry room with close proximity (next door) to our condo was a huge bonus for dirty softball clothes! We also loved the ability to be right in the center between Truckee and the lake. We will definitely be back! Great place!

Feel free to take a vacation from your car for your entire stay as well (park in the adjacent parking lot with the placard on your dashboard). The complimentary Northstar shuttle will transport you to the Village to dine at any of the great restaurants (pizza, sushi, tapas, fine dining California cuisine), visit the many boutiques, or indulge in a massage at the spa. The shuttle will also take you to the 18-hole golf course as well as the NPOA Recreation Center which features: two pools (large family pool or adult lap pool); three jacuzzis (family, twirl, and adult); 10 tennis courts; a baby pool, splash pad and jungle gym; fitness center complete with cardio machines (elliptical, treadmill, rower, stationary bike), state-of-the-art weight machines, and free weights; saunas in both restrooms; library and reading room; and deli. The shuttle runs on schedule for much of the year and may be called at other times. If you wish to venture outside Northstar, be sure to visit the excellent restaurants (Moody’s, Squeeze In), quaint shops, and breweries in the town of Truckee (just 7 miles away on highway 267) as well as all the activities Lake Tahoe has to offer (15 minutes in the opposite direction).
