Overview

Rocky Mountain National Park House Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Large Entertaining Area (sleeps 10-13)

This beautiful new home was completed in 2010 and is located just 5 minutes outside the town of Grand Lake right off highway 34. The boat launch is just across the road and we are located 200 yards off County Rd #4, which is the main road you would take to access the snowmobile trails.

The house has beautiful views of Lake Granby. The home has 2 bedrooms on the main floor. The upstairs has an over-sized master bedroom with a master bath and a second bedroom with two sets of bunk beds plus two twins. There is a laundry room on the main floor with a washer and dryer. The gas fireplace is located in the cozy main room where you will find panoramic views out of every window in this room. The pine doors and gas fireplace with split log mantle give the home a mountain feel for your stay. Step outside on the deck and relax while taking in all of the beautiful scenery. Cable TV and High Speed Wireless Internet. The dinning room table seats 12. The large basement leads to the garage and makes a perfect place to get your winter gear on.

This spacious home has 4 bedrooms and offers everything you would need to enjoy a perfect stay. The master bedroom and the main room both have cable television. Secured wireless Internet access is available throughout the house. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom and a master bath with dual sinks. There is also a separate shower from the bath tub. The two bedrooms on the main floor have queen size beds with closets and dressers for storage while you are there. All of the beds have new sheets and comforters, so you don't need to bring any. The kitchen is ready for your stay with dishes, pots, pans, wine glasses, silverware, glasses and everything you need to cook at home. The appliances are all stainless steel new. The house is also stocked with bath towels.

The driveway of this home is large and flat, with the perfect amount of space for your RV or snowmobile trailer as well as your other vehicles. The location of this home is perfect for winter activities such as snowmobiling and ice fishing on lake Granby. In the summer you can't be in a better location for fishing and dirtbiking, as well as shopping in downtown Grand Lake. The Idleglenn trail head for snowmobiling and dirt biking is roughly a mile down in the road. Snowmobile directly from the driveway in the middle of winter.

Beautiful house in beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. It had all the amenities one could ask for in a weekend getaway! The house was spacious enough where the kids had some space of their own (and we couldn't hear them!), but a big enough living room and dining table where we could all have meals together. 8 of us total (4 adults, 4 kids), the beds were super comfortable. The location was great-- amazing views of surrounding mountains and the lake. We were even greeted by a beautiful fox while enjoying the views off one of the decks. The price was definitely fair for the space and the cleaning fees, etc. were more reasonable than other places we looked into. Overall we had a lovely stay in this beautiful mountain home and would love to return some day!

The house was Great! There was plenty of space as described. The owners even set up a Christmas Tree during our stay. Fully equipped like described and the house has amazing views. Will definately recommend this house to anyone with Family.

A Little Dissappointed

  • 3 of 5

There is no front door. Access is through the garage, which we knew, but didn't realize it was a long stair climb up to the living space. We had brought coolers with food and had to lug them up the flight of stairs or empty them a little at a time, making several trips up the stairs with our food. Bathrooms were very dirty. Toilet paper rack kept falling off as well as the bathroom towel racks which were not attached well. There was only one roll of toilet paper. Good thing we brought some extra. The ceiling light above the dining room table looked as if it were ready to fall down, the electric wires were exposed. Dishwasher did not reset properly. Had to wait a full day before the timer would reset so we could use it. We found some dishes in the kitchen cabinet were dirty. Shower head sprays water everywhere else but on you. The only bathroom upstairs is located inside the master bathroom so anyone sleeping upstairs (there is one large room that holds 1 1/2 sets of bunk beds and a bed in a closet so the 6 people that sleep upstairs outside of the master bedroom have to walk through the master bedroom to get to the bathroom. Only one bathroom on the lower level. What was good? The house stayed at a good temperature, not too hot, not too cold. Some of the beds were comfortable, others not so much. The people that rent the house are very nice, gave great directions and explanation of the dos and don'ts, but we don't think they are aware of the conditions of the house that they are renting. We visit Granby and Grand Lake several times a year and have stayed at other rental houses. This was a convenient location.
