A rare luxurious apartment offering peace and tranquility amidst the best of Tel Aviv's life and activities -- in one of City's most beautiful historic Bauhaus buildings. This is a spectacular, spacious, newly remodeled apartment on Tel Aviv's most central and desirable street. Situated in a secluded park like oasis, this apartment offers incredible access to endless day and nightlife, shopping, markets and dining out only 2 minutes away.
The apartment has a fully stocked kitchen (dishes, utensils, high quality cast aluminum pots and pans, and supplies). Its Hebron stone counters and built in sink custom designed by the Zakkak Brothers Studio, makes it both a functional kitchen and an aesthetic masterpiece. The master bedroom has a top of the line queen size bed, and in the second bedroom there is a new, extremely comfortable double bed. There is a sofa bed in the living room for an additional guest. The rooms have zone controlled central air conditioning, cable TV (plenty of English programming), Wi-Fi, and high speed internet. Top quality, professionally laundered Egyptian cotton towels and linens are provided.
While this apartment is lovingly maintained by its owners, it is also professionally managed so nothing is left to chance from cleanliness, preparation for your arrival, staging, and repair.
OUR APARTMENT IS MANAGED AND MAINTAINED BY PROFESSIONALS. YOU ARE ASSURED A HOTEL QUALITY STAY. Your comfort and enjoyment is our number one priority. If this is your first or even fiftieth visit to Tel-Aviv, we're eager to suggest some great discoveries of places to dine, shop, stroll and sight-see so you can 'live' Israel like a local!
Ron Katz purchased this apartment in 2012
There is no better location in Tel Aviv than the historic Bialik Street. Fun, entertainment, arts, and recreation. Upscale but inviting, this is 'the place to be' in Tel Aviv. And the apartment, while near everything, is its own quiet oasis on Bialik Street where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful historic surroundings in one of the city’s most famous Bauhaus apartments.
Location...location...location -- the best of Tel Aviv is just steps away from your tranquil and lovely apartment. This apartment has just undergone a major renovation to preserve its historic value and to provide every major comfort including a modern kitchen, central air-conditioning, and a complete home office including computer, high speed internet, and free long distance calling to the U.S. and Europe.
Ron's apartment is amazing! It is open, airy, and beautifully refurbished to keep the charm and character of the era it was built. It has the most unique and beautiful light fixtures throughout and many wonderful pieces of art in the home. The unit has wrap around porches and overlooks famous Bialik street. We made cappuccinos daily with the espresso machine and sat outside admiring the view. It was by far our favorite vacation rental we have stayed in hands down. We are VRBO owners ourselves so we have pretty high expections. We loved it so much we extended our stay to a total of 3 weeks because we were so happy and comfortable there and couldn't imagine finishing our vacation anywhere else. Ron was a breeze to work with during the reservation process and check out. He is very kind and a great host, it felt as if you were speaking with a friend during the whole process. Don't think twice about staying anywhere else. If the apartment is available on your dates, book it!
My wife and I have rented apartments during our visits to several countries and looked forward to staying on Bialik Street in Tel Aviv. We have a check list of what matters to us as the apartment often determines how successful or vacation will be. It includes: 1. Courtesy of owner, 2. Location of Apartment 3. Cleanliness of Apartment 4. Responsive of owner 5. The character of the neighborhood where the apartment is situated. We have other criteria but on these critical points, this apartment gets an A. I am not one to exaggerate but when an apartment not only works well but actually adds to our travel experience, it deserves a A rating. We have visited Tel Aviv before and even though there are a number of very nice, centrally located, upscale neighborhoods, none have the character, architectural depth, ambience, and proximity to the best restaurants, shopping, and cultural experiences as Bialik Street. The street for those who are unfamiliar with Tel Aviv is a cobblestone lane, it is secluded and quiet but in the absolute heart of everything. The apartment itself is a Bauhaus architectural gem which has been thoughtfully restored to honor its tradition while providing maximum comfort to those who stay there. It was, as advertised, professionally prepared for our arrival, lovely white linens, and an unexpected gift of fresh oranges, mangos, and other local produce welcomed us. We were greeted warmly on our arrival, shown around, and we had a 24 hour contact number in case any problems arose. Of course there were no problems but when renting it is always good to know you can reach a fluent English speaker any time you need assistance. We asked about local dining and were given some exceptional suggestions where we had several memorable meals. But my wife and I especially enjoyed bringing back local specialties from the spectacular Carmel Market which is 5 minutes away. We enjoyed these meals on one of the two beautiful terraces over looking the pond and palms surrounding the original Tel Aviv City Hall which sits at the end of the lane. I recommend it without hesitation.
We spent five days at the Bialek Street residence where we shared the apartment with another couple. The layout of the apartment allowed for total privacy in sleeping and bathroom arrangements. The common living area was light and airy, opening up to a balcony on each side of the living room-dining room combination, We enjoyed breakfasts in this delightful area prepared in the apartment's handy and well equipped kitchen.
The location of the apartment was ideal for enjoying the various things Tel Aviv has to offer. We walked to museums, craft fairs, flea markets, shopping, Philharmonic Hall, and not least of all--the beach. We were also able to walk to a nearby bus which took us to the neighboring towns of Ranana and Ramat HaSharon where we visited friends and relatives.
We would stay at 18 Bialek again and are recommending it to to friends, should they travel to Tel Aviv.
The location was fantastic, the apartment large and physically as advertised. The owner and manager was helpful and on time at both opening and closing. Only negative is lack of an elevator, but otherwise a great property.
We stayed at 18 Bialik for more than two weeks and were very pleased with the accommodations, location and helpfulness of the owner. The apartment itself was clean and quiet and had all the appliances and furnishings we needed, including cable TV and computer. The listing description was accurate, the location was excellent and we spent many days just walking around the neighborhood and going to the nearby beach. We can't think of anything that was lacking and look forward to returning in the future.
This spacious apartment has been totally renovated in the Bauhaus area which itself is undergoing extensive gentrification. There is a totally new kitchen, new appliances, and new bathrooms. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped although it would have been helpful to have a microwave which is in the listing but is absent. Bialik Street on which this apartment is located is a quiet street however the facade of the building next door is being replaced because the stucco with which much of Tel Aviv has been constructed has not aged well and some mornings the construction guys started at 6 AM. If you do rent this place make sure the owner provides written instructions for everything. We met him when we arrived late because our El Al flight was delayed and it was somewhat rushed because he was leaving for the airport. He provided an overview of the apartment and some brief instructions about the TV and the air conditioning. Unfortunately the air conditioning instructions were wrong and we couldn't get it to work. He also left no password information for the wifi and failed to tell us that there is a timer that has to be turned on for the hot water resulting in cold showers the following morning. Fortunately he left a local contact who knew everything about the apartment and was able to provide the information we needed. Thankfully the air conditioning, hot water and wifi worked well once we knew how to use them. We called this to the owners attention in an email once we left and he responded that " there are instructions for everything" but not that we ever saw. The major flaw in the apartment is the second bathroom which is very small with a tiny sink, a toilet in about as much space as an airline toilet, and a shower that flooded the floor the one time we used it. The owner told us the shower is being fixed. It's also on the third floor of a walk- up which didn't bother us but would be for people who have problems with stairs. If you rent a car, you really have to park in a parking lot. There is one about four short blocks away for 25 shekels. However they have no in and out privileges so if you take the car out and then return it they hit you up for another charge. Parking restrictions are indecipherable and you will get a ticket if you park on the street. The positive is the parking lot is the next block from the beach.
This is one of the most exciting, upscale and fun parts of Tel Aviv. Location is everything and there is no better location that Bialik Street.
