This was a great house to rent. Location waas great, a challenge to turn the shower on but a fun puzzle. We only had one complaint. There was no where to sit in the living room that was comfortable, lots of worn out furniture.
Our family had a fantastic time here. The house is perfect and set up completely for a comfortable stay and is very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the lake, beautiful scenery, and all the hiking and fishing of the area.
The house was especially nice for us, traveling with a 1 yr old and 3 yr old. It was easily child proofed, great crib and toddler bed and even had toys! The little ones were thrilled
We had a great time. Well appointed house. Great private lake.
Craig was great. He was able to give us advice on area attractions and info on navigating the lake and the best fishing spots.
We'd definitely come back again.
This was a great vacation opportunity for those looking to have some adventure or just peace and quiet. It's located immediately next to a non-motorized trail network that has both 2-track and single track for running, mountain biking, easy trail riding, cross-country skiing, etc. We especially liked the improved kitchen for making our own meals and the hospitality of the owners. Saux Head Lake was much warmer than nearby Lake Superior and provided great recreational activities for our whole family. Thanks Craig!!
Great location & wonderful accommodations! Despite cool temperatures, the stay was fabulous stay ane the weather did not dampen our vacation. Craig & Phyllis were gracious hosts and provided good information about areas for hiking, canoeing, bicycling, and sightseeing.
The cabin is very beautiful and well kept. It is so peaceful waking up and looking out at the lake. The area is very quiet and peaceful.
The cabin is within 20 minutes of Marquette and Big Bay.
