Although our rooms are very nice we have an atmosphere like the one you were around at your sweet old grandmother's or aunt Sally's house! The previous owner Doug is a dear friend of the Inn and can always be reached by calling us. The Creole Inn is an urban guesthouse for people on the go. It is housed in a mid-19th-century, two-story 'Marigny double' townhouse with a private garden courtyard that is canopied by a giant, century-old live oak and cooled by a soothing fountain. There are Traditional, vintage and antique furnishings throughout. Like the garden, the Breakfast Room and Cyber Parlor are common spaces. With its friendly, homelike atmosphere, Creole Inn is popular with leisure travelers, business and convention travelers, European travelers, and weekend travelers among others.
The best French Sumatra Roast Coffee is served along with pastries each morning! Guests have use of a microfridge in the room. Free access to e-mail and the Internet is available on a guest computer, and there is free wireless Internet access. The daily Times-Picayune and other local newspapers and magazines are available in the Parlor. An iron and hair dryer are available on request. Smoking is permitted only in the garden area.
There are three 2-bedroom suites and two 1-bedroom suites, all with private baths. Baths are either bathtub/shower combination or shower only. The Old Europe Two-Bedroom Suite on the lower floor has direct access to the garden. The one-bedroom suites on the upper floor have high ceilings and hardwood floors. Creole Inn has central air conditioning and heating. All rooms have cable TV.
The Creole Inn is not for arrogant, rude or high maintenance people. If you require a chauffeur, a maid, or a bell person then you will want to stay somewhere else that will cater to your high class needs. Please do not book with us! If you are ladiback, easygoing and just a 'good' person then we welcome you into our guest house. God Bless.

The Creole Inn is not a Bed and Breakfast but is a Guest House. All Suites in our guest house have a private bathroom so there is no sharing! All double suites have 2 private bedrooms. So why stay in a hotel that has 2 beds in a room when you can have your own private room for 1/2 the price! Rooms feature memory foam mattresses, and are warm and charming. We take no shortcuts when it comes to our guests who we also consider part of our family!

Come stay with us and discover why the Creole Inn is considered New Orleans’ best-kept secret for affordable accommodations
For those who depend on extensive amenities and luxury, this may not be your best choice. But we found the accommodations extremely comfortable. The service could not be faulted at any level. The rooms, while smallish, were clean and well kept. We stayed in the Old Europe suite which has an exit directly to the patio, which is a wonderful place to relax and to recuperate from an evening in the Quarter or on Frenchman's. The room had a mini fridge, and a microwave was available fin the lobby to revisit the takeout from a previous evening's meal. Coffee was on hand each morning in the lobby. The beds were very comfortable. The rate was a real treat compared to other lodgings we've used in the city.
Our hosts Charlie and Kim were absolutely beyond compare. My wife and I formed a personal relationship that was truly unique n our travel experience. While they haven't been in NOLA long, they were great for dining tips and directions to local shops, bars, convenience stores and the like. Very casual, and I don't think anyone could be any friendlier. They ran us on a few errands, and to the airport at a better cost than a cab.
The Inn is in the Marigny, and Frenchman St. easy an easy walk. Not too much farther is the French Quarter, and I was able to walk there and back on multiple occasions. The neighborhood is trendy and seemed quite safe, and there are several restaurants and bars within a few blocks. Cabs are easy to get if you're not a walker.
We typically use our room to flop after wandering, and so the more casual style suited us very well! But we probably spent more time at the Inn than other accommodations we've used in the past just to spend more time with Charlie and Kim. They truly made this a very special week in our lives. We don't know how soon we'll make our 4th trip to the Big Easy, but we already know where we'll stay!
