Denis and I have a general contracting business and rental properties in SF. I grew up in LA and moved here for college. Denis is from Kerry, Ireland. We have an 14 yr old daughter.
Victoria Stein purchased this house in 2006
North Beach is a vibrant neighborhood w/great food, nightlife and walking distance to downtown and the waterfront/Fishermans Wharf.
We love historic homes, our garden and the neighborhood.
We spent three days in San Francisco and the location of the house was amazing. The house has many amenities including a nice size garage, a beautiful sunroom, spacious kitchen/dining area and courtyard seating area. We will definitely come back in the future.
Additionally, Victoria was extremely nice and very accommodating.
It feels as though the owners of this house have graciously offered up their home to us with amazing generosity. Beautifully furnished house with terrific kitchen and a full pantry just in case you forgot something. The house was TRULY the highlight of our vacation in San Francisco...we relaxed, hung out and ate more meals here than we expected to! Thank you Victoria for your hospitality!
This is a wonderful apartment in a fantastic location. You're in the heart of North Beach, 1.5 blocks from Columbus Avenue and its abundant cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops, and a 5-minute walk from Chinatown. The apartment is clean, stylish, spacious, and well-equipped. We had six in our party and plenty of space (the apartment can easily accommodate 8 or 10). The owner, Victoria, responded promptly to a couple of questions I had during the stay. The garage is an added bonus. Normally a car is a liability in this neighborhood, as street parking is scarce. We had a rental car for excursions outside the city and it was great being able to park right at the apartment. The garden is small but useful. And the street is quiet, despite being so close to the action. I would definitely stay there again.
This was the perfect place for us. We loved it! We are a family of 5. We needed a place close to sightseeing, was large enough to accommodate us comfortably, and could fit a large extended length SUV which we rented to visit Yosemite and other sites. This was the perfect place to wind up our trip. The house is in a perfect location (walk almost everywhere if you want). It is really well updated and luxurious. It is very spacious which was a welcome surprise. Everyone had the space (and wifi) they needed to relax. The neighbors are all nice and made us feel right at home. This was our first experience using home away (vrbo) and it couldn't have been smoother. If you're looking for a property in San Fransisco, these are the folks to work with. Could not possibly rate it higher.
My husband and I spent 5 days in San Francisco while we visited with my daughter and her husband from Guernsey. The house was the perfect size for the 5 of us. It was clean with a great kitchen and all the amenities including a large table for everyone to sit around and play games. The beds were comfortable and I loved the overstuffed furniture in the living room. Room enough for the family to sit around and visit. The location was perfect, located between Little Italy and China town which gave us a variety of restaurants to choose from. We walked to Fisherman's Wharf and took the local buses back up the hill. On our last day we were able to catch a cable car up on the corner which took us right to the Bart and then onto the airport. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants the perfect location in San Francisco.
Our family of six adults had a great time staying in this home. The location is ideal and in a nice neighborhood. Central enough to walk to many of the San Francisco sights. Close to quite a few cafes and restaurants. House was very clean. Having access to the large garage was a great bonus. Thanks Victoria for allowing us to vacation in your home.
