Imagine a nice, elegant and affordable home within walking distance from everything Boulder has to offer that let you bring your dogs, cats and children… Look no further! Our recently remodeled 3-bedroom Home is the perfect place to stay when you're looking for a romantic getaway, an extended stay with the kids and your pets, or a weekend soiree with some old friends.
While the house is located close to downtown Boulder and public transportation, it has a nice sense of seclusion and privacy as the large yard is surrounded by trees.
We recently renovated the entire house! Everything from the pots and pans in the modern kitchen, enormous wood deck with a gas/electric grill, luxury bathrooms, to the plush sheets on each bed will ensure a nice, cozy and relaxing stay.
The enclosed sunroom with wicker furniture is a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail or store your bicycle, and the partially enclosed deck also offer even more privacy.
The property is owned by Mike and Becky, who live right next door and are able to provide great customer service. Mike and Becky own a professional carpet cleaning company, and use anti-allergen cleaning products to help accommodate guests with allergies.
I was born and raised in Boulder. I really love the town and I have been self-employed for over 20 years. On my time off, Becky & I enjoy traveling, walking our dog, and 4 Wheeling the local mountains.
As a local small business owner, I have an expansive network of local resources. Should you need something, whether it's a recommendation for a restaurant or a place to rent a bike, I can you direct you to local business that I personally know.
Becky and I take great care of our rental home, and we're extremely responsive. Should you need anything, just let us know!
Becky Shultz purchased this house in 1994
This pet and family friendly ranch style house is located right in the heart of Boulder while still offering a lot of privacy and seclusion.
Pet and kid friendly! No Rental Car Expenses! Biking and Walking along the Boulder Bike Path, to get to wherever you want. The Pearl Street Mall, Restaurants and the new 29th Street Mall. Any activities at the CU Campus is just minutes away.
Thank you so much Mike & Becky for opening up your home to us for my 30th birthday! It was better than I ever could of hoped for. The house was perfect! Everyone was very impressed, I loved that the kitchen was fully stocked for anything we needed like the serving dishes! We were able to present a beautiful spread to our guests.

My family and I had a great stay at Becky's house in August. The home was very clean and had everything we could possibly need during the stay - pots, pans, utensils, towels, you name it. The layout of the home was perfect for socializing and the kitchen had so much room for us to prepare our meals. If we had any questions prior to our stay or while we were there Becky was very prompt to respond to messages. We have previously stayed at Becky's other rental house next door and I wouldn't hesitate to rent either home again on our next trip to Boulder. The home is close by to shopping at the 29th Street Mall, Safeway, Whole Foods and Target. Be sure to visit Avery Brewing for lunch of beer tastings which is only a 10 - 15 minute drive away.
This was our second monthly stay at Becky & Mike's property and as usual it was spotless. When they renovated the property Becky & Mike used only upscale amenities, in fact, we have copied some of them for our house. There is a TV in all three bedrooms + a big one in the family room (yes that is 4 TV's) plus they have the premium channels for all you sports and movie fans. The kitchen has everything you would need and the property is a short walk to Boulder's extensive multi-use trails. Also it is located in a quiet neighborhood.
Having Becky & Mike close by is great because they can provide info about the area if needed, however, if you want privacy you hardly see or hear them unless you want too.
We have already booked our month for next year and if it works for you book it quickly, it will fill quickly.
We've never written a negative review, but feel we need to inform future guests. Some positives: comfortable beds, nice sheets & towels, large renovated kitchen, updated bathrooms, large yard. Our biggest complaint, and disappointment was that this was not a single family home, but a duplex with the owners living on the other side of the shared wall. Their overview said, owners " right next door." We understood that to mean the house next door, on a separate lot. Had we known this ahead of time we never would have rented it, especially with what we paid for a week. We only stay in single family homes because we don't like shared walls. We value our privacy and our peace and quiet. The first night we heard talking through the rear bedroom wall. We mentioned this to the owner the next day and her quick response: your clock radio must have come on and that's what you heard. Really?! We could hear their TV other nights. In our front bedroom sounds from their bathroom could be heard. Then there was the barking of their little dog when they were out one evening. We tried drowning out the sound by running a floor fan on high and shutting the bedroom door, but could still hear the nonstop barking while trying to watch TV out in the living room. Finally, we sent the wife a text about it, got a response that the dog was not barking when the husband got home! The pictures on their site of the great room look stunning, but don't sit on the sofa, it is long overdue for a cleaning. We had to put towels on it in order to feel comfortable sitting on it. The washer is old and had a sour odor; the dryer is old and takes three tries to dry a load. The dishwasher leaks all over the floor. It was mentioned in the house info sheet not to overload the dishwasher because it would leak. We made sure not to overload it. So this was an existing problem that they have chosen not to fix. The creek can not be accessed from the backyard unless you want to jump off a 2 1/2 foot wall and climb back up. We asked about getting to the park and the creek behind the house, and were told it was just a block walk down the street. It's a very long block, then a right turn for another block, then the distance of about 4 or 5 more blocks to get to the creek and the park. There is a large 4 story tall apt complex on the creek towering over the house and yard. Also, it's almost 2 miles to the downtown Pearl Street Pedestrian Mall. How unfair to mislead people! Would not recommend!
The kitchen is great / everything you need. Nice open area between kitchen / dining / family room really allows a comfortable and engaging environment for 6+ people to relax, eat, and talk.
The house is located in a quiet part of town (no college kid rentals next door) but is also in walking distance to the campus. Also, a backroad in this neighborhood takes you to shopping / restaurants in a few minutes
There is also a small creek with a paved path behind the house for walking.
We did have some questions when we first arrived and the owner was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here over Christmas 2015 and very much enjoyed the house. It's in a great location, close to Pearl Street Mall where we spent a lot of time and close to the walking trails as well. It would be a perfect summer getaway for a family because it's got a large front and backyard and plenty of space inside. The only downside of our visit was the sink and dishwasher backed up and we couldn't use the kitchen for the last 2 days of our stay. Becky was quick to answer calls about this, but being Christmas and a weekend to boot, we left before it was repaired. Plenty of great restaurants around so not that big of a deal!
Our family rented this wonderful home to check out Denver/Boulder for a possible move. We had no idea how awesome the location was. Right on the creek trail and steps to a great park for our 2 small kids. The home was immaculate with all the amenities. We felt right at home and our children loved it too. Mike and Becky were so responsive to whatever we needed and were so sweet to help us entertain the kids with building a fort and running through sprinklers and doing water balloons. My son still talks about this trip and Becky's grandsons. We could get to Denver in 30 minutes and had access to hiking at Chautauqua and other Boulder park trails in 15 min or less. One day we even walked all the way to Pearl Street with our 2 kids in tow, had lunch and walked back. Any family will be in heaven renting this home!! We can't wait to come back...and hopefully move to Colorado.
Our home is located in Central Boulder, 15-20 minute walk to The Pearl Street Mall, Scott Carpenter Park & Swimming Pool is right next door. About a 5 minute walk from our home.
