Our family moved to Tennessee in 2004. We chose this part of Tennessee because of its 4 distinct seasons, beautiful weather, mild winter season, undeveloped land and friendly people.
Our goal is to provide vacationers with a comfortable cabin atmosphere for an opportunity to experience Middle Tennessee the way we know it! We are only 2.5 miles from the cabin and can be of assistance for anything you might need. Thank you for viewing our site and we hope you visit with us soon!
Terri Douglas purchased this cabin in 2012
There are four beautiful seasons to enjoy here in Middle Tennessee. Fall offers the most vibrant colors of all seasons with the turning of the leaves. The best time to enjoy the colors is mid-late October through mid-November. Winter is beautiful with the evergreen trees and a chance of snow now and then. Spring is awesome with many flowers and the Red Bud Trees in bloom. Summer is a great time to enjoy outdoor activities in the area.
Regardless of the season, many of our activities like Hiking, Biking, Kayaking and Golf can be enjoyed almost year round. If you have any questions, call us or send us an email and we will answer just as soon as possible.
My family of 3 from Charlotte met my sister and her family (of 3) from Kansas at this cabin in TN and it worked out great for us. We enjoyed the peace & quiet - wish it was a little farther from the road - but still it was peaceful. Our young daughter couldn't get enough of the porch swing, ha. The accommodations were great; had everything we needed to cook a few meals, cook out, have a campfire, etc. Shower water pressure was great too (it beats most hotels). Enjoyed the distance it is to Fall Creek Falls Park as hiking there was also one of our favorite things of the trip. We enjoyed the few days in the cabin more than we enjoyed Nashville.
Thanks Hank & Terri! God Bless!
Everything about this property was perfect. It was secluded and convenient at the same time--that's a hard combination to pull off. the cabin was beautifully decorated, spotless, and the perfect size for my wife and I. And the fudge in the fridge was an especially nice touch. We truly felt at home and will definitely be back--next time with the kids.
The cabin was perfect for a getaway for a long weekend in the spring. Renting, getting in, etc. were all easy with no problems. The location is perfect for visits to Fall Creek Falls State Park and other nearby parks - we were able to go out for day trips to local parks and sights and still get back at a decent hour. The cabin is clean, well taken care of and stocked with a few supplies (salt, spices, etc). One item to consider, the back bedroom is a little snug getting in and out of bed and the stairs to the loft are steep - so keep that in mind if there are mobility concerns for anyone in your group. That said, we would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone staying in the area, and are considering a return visit since there is so much to see and do in the area.
Very warm and inviting. Loved the privacy! Very clean! Just wished ee could have stayed longer!
Stayed at the cabin for a Fall Creek Falls weekend getaway. Much nicer and way more private then anything the park offers. Can't wait to come back for another stay. Also if your in the area you must check out Foglight Foodhouse near Rock Island State Park.
We had an amazing time at the cabin. It was very clean, had all you need (full kitchen, laundry, a/c)great location. People in the area are very friendly. It was also very close to Fall creek Falls Park and other attractions in the area. Just an hour drive to Chattanooga. Just staying at the cabin enjoying nature was fabulous. Thank you so much for the fudge!! delicious!! after flight and driving, tired of traveling the whole day that was a very nice treat!! This is the perfect experience if traveling with kids. Will definitely will be back very soon, highly recommended.
Seasonal Activity for Kids....Baker Mountain Farm is only 3 miles from Cabin on the Creek, located at 351 Pioneer Lane in Hawks Bluff. It's great for kids and adults, with hiking, barnyard animals, picnic area, homemade goodies and a hayride.
