- english, french, spanish, italian, Japanese
My name is Edoardo and I was born in Rome in 1989. A few years ago I started to host people in the apartment of my family, who often live in Sicily. I love traveling and I love to entertain and meet new people from all over the world. I studied architecture, so I have the passion for design and decor. I love to eat well and drink well, i'm good at cooking too. I always hope that my guests spend a relaxing time and that they live the city not just as tourists, but as true Romans.

Nor As Nice As Expected
Beds comfortable. Spacious apartment. Attractive terrace except the back faces huge pipes on the side of an industrial building. Great proximity to mass transit, but the walk from the apartment to the station is unpleasant & uncomfortable, no matter what time of day Very noisy at night. Never met Eduardo,. He was responsive to bring blankets, but the state of disrepair seemed beyond his ability to fix quickly. Broken shower door. Broken window. A/C not working properly. Entrance door keys didn’t work properly.. Could be much nicer with more care.
Hi. The "huge pipes" on the side of the terrace are the AC system of the "Ambra Jovinelli Theatre" one of the most prestigious and historic theaters of Rome. The "huge pipes" are not part of an industrial building at all and do not emit noise or fumes. Ask yourself well before writing these things. It's 15 years that I live/work in this apartment and I never had a review about troubles in the neighborhood. There is the "Esquilino Market" nearby, an historic market of this city, and like in all the markets of the world there is a bit of noise at times. As i told you i was in Milan during these days but I promptly solved your requests. There is a paper on the shower saying that a guest broke a slide door, and I'm waiting for the spare part from Leroy Merlin. I don't want to keep it like that as you maybe think. Thanks for advising about the window and AC, i didn't know. They have been fixed.
A beautifully designed apartment in a fantastic location!
We could not have enjoyed our stay more in this beautiful apartment. The decor was exquisitely designed and the large terrace made for some lovely languorous afternoons. The location was great and in walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Eduardo, our host, was gracious and incredibly helpful even being kind enough to send a digital copy of one of the beautiful pictures hung in one of the bedrooms. Overall we could not recommend this apartment enough! We look forward to visiting again soon.
Cute apartment near Termini
Edoardo was gracious and met us the first night with keys, upon arrival. The apartment is cozy and nearby Termini. The location was convenient as we weren’t there much, and accessed the Termini daily. The area seemed a little tougher than others, but we never experienced any problems or felt unsafe. We had a great time.
Amazing apartment in central location
This property is exactly as shown in the photos, clean and well maintained, with uan enormous terrace, 2 good sized bedrooms, and two nice bathrooms, with Kitchen and inside dining area, although we always ate out on the terrace.
The location is very central with the nearest metro about 5 minutes walk away and Termini station less than 10 minutes walk. Just outside the apartment is a local market for fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, fish and bread. Fantastic gamberoni! Also close by is a supermarket and a famous 130 year old gelateria, Fassi's which was phenomenal. Local restaurants were plentiful and we loved Ristorante Locanda Giolitta, Trattoria Vecchia Roma and Mamma Mia. Eduardo was a great host, ensuring everything we enquired about, or requested was always answered or dealt with promptly. As we were staying for 4 weeks, he popped in to check everything was OK, which it was, and was always available on his mobile. He also arranged airport transfers which was most helpful.
I would definitely go back to this apartment again and would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends.
A beautiful apartment
The apartment is extremely nice: smart, clean, very well appointed and has double-doors from the lounge and both bedrooms which open onto a huge, private, sunny terrace which is much larger than it looks in the photographs.
We were greeted by Adriano and his mother (a delightful lady) and, once we had been shown around, found a lovely selection of fresh fruit in the kitchen. There is an indoor market just yards away (open Monday to Friday) where you can buy pretty much any foodstuffs, a supermarket (about 5 minutes walk) as well as a selection of smaller shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach. We strongly recommend a local restaurant 'Le Caveau' in Via Conte Verde (despite its French-sounding name, it serves Italian food) - by far the best food, service and atmosphere we found in Rome.
One of the apartment's main advantages, from our point of view, is its proximity to Vittorio Emanuele station - once you fathom out how the Metro works, it can get you virtually anywhere in Rome.
We had a wonderful 10 days, due in no small part to the quality and location of Yumi & Adriano's lovely apartment... we would highly recommend it. Chris, Anne & Katie - Cheltenham, England.
Hi Anne, it was a real pleasure to host you. You are just the perfect guest, left everything clean and in perfect condition. Was very respectful of the apartment. Thank you for your wonderful review... Grazie. Yumi and Family
Wonderful place close to Metro and Train station
We stayed in this beautiful sunny apartment for 3 weeks.
We emailed and talked to Yumi a few times before reserving our visit because we have heard some stories about fraudulence in these websites but she made us very comortable about booking a trip in their apartment.
Yum and Edoardo arranged our transportation to and from the airport where Alberto held up our name signed as we came out of baggage claim and took us to apartment in his van.
Place is just like the photos and very spacious and comfortable in the middle of city of Rome.
Very close to Vittorio Emanuele Metro A stop and Termini the major train and metro stop.
Apartment building is surrounded by several small grocery stores and one large farmer's market is less then a block away offer fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and bakery goods that made our stay very comfortable and fun.
We were little nervous about going this far for 3 weeks but Yumi made our trip very easy and enjoyable.
We requested a BBQ grill and next day we had a grill at our door step, special thanks to Edoardo for taking time from his busy schedule.
We would definitely stay in same apartment if we visit Rome again.
It was a pleasure to host you. Just the perfect guest, left everything tidy and was very respectful of the apartment. Thank you for your wonderful review... Grazie. Yumi and Family
Ethnic par excellence, this central neighbourhood is set around Termini Station and Piazza Vittorio.
With its elegant and a bit austere architecture, it resides atop one of the famous Seven Hills of Rome, asserting its reputation as one of Rome’s original neighbourhoods.
Until the late 19th century, Esquilino was considered pratically a suburban niche in the city centre. Upon the unification of Italy with Rome as its capital, it experienced a rich and quick urban development. The bustling neighborhood is full of turn-of-the-century charm and is now a multi-cultural mélange.
- MANY historic tourist attractions in easy walking distance.
- EXCELLENT links at few meters from the house. 2 minutes walking to the underground/bus/tram station, 10 minutes walking to Termini Central Station (connected with Fiumicino Airport by the non-stop train Leonardo Express), 10 minutes walking to the Colosseum, 5 minutes walking to Colle Oppio parkland.
- 10 minutes walking to the Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia and 20 minutes walking to the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and fashion shopping streets.
- Nearby you can find local pizzerias, restaurants, ice cream shops, take away, supermarkets, night shops, local fresh food market and banks. Everything is at walking distance!
- The apartment is located in one of the best connected area of the city, close to the archeological sight of Palatino Hill with its ruins and famous churches such as San Pietro in Vincoli that hosts one of Michelangelo’s masterpieces, the Moses. The neighborhood will offer you a big choice of characteristic restaurants, wine bars, famous pizzerias and the best and oldest ice cream shop in Italy “Fassi”. Nearby there are the best tourist sights of the city easily reachable by walking, subways or buses, car is not necessary.
