Beautiful setting and amenities. Flawless experience and personable host. Breakfast cooked to your preference. Just like home but better
Oyster Shores is really well kept and in a beautiful and quiet location. Our family appreicated that it was far enough away from things to miss the bustle but close enough that with a small commute we could do literally anything we wanted, we visited some beaches and water falls, had dinner in town and were able to see the Comox Farmers market. We were visiting our family from Victoria and we decided to go up island for the long weekend - we're super glad we did.
Gini was a lovely host, she's a great cook and made us feel warm and welcome. She went over and above to make sure we were all comfortable in the space. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again.
Our stay at Oyster Shores was the best experience any of us have had with a B&B - Gini was hospitable, served lovely breakfasts, and helped us out with various needs throughout our stay. The home is a unique structure, built with wood harvested from the property and decorated with lovely original art and antiques. We enjoyed our privacy on the deck and in the home. Gini keeps the house in immaculate condition.
We went for charming walks throughout Ship's Point and along the ocean. Nights were absolutely silent, except for the occasional sound of wildlife or the rain.
Already thinking of a return visit...
We stayed at the Oyster Shores for a couple of days on our trip to the Vancouver Island. We've passed through the area before, and wanted to come back and stay this time. The location is about half way between Qualicum Beach and Courtney. It's a very safe, very peaceful and quaint residential neighbourhood. One caveat though: you absolutely need a car to get around.
The house is very charming and super clean. Accommodation is good, furnishings are kind of basic, at least in the room we were in. Guests are allowed to use the common areas which are nicely appointed. There's a gorgeous backyard, deck, and BBQ.
We absolutely loved meeting Gini and the other couple who were staying there at the time. Gini is an amazing woman and a joy to talk to. Getting to know her, made our stay even more enjoyable.
Gini's Oyster Shores B&B is a lovely place to enjoy the beautiful Fanny Bay area. We were treated to delicious breakfasts, clean and comfortable rooms, relaxing patio and garden area, and Gini's friendly hospitality and helpful tips for best places to go. Excellent access to the beach and walking trails. Short drive to visit friends and family and to many of our favorite spots in the Comox -Qualicum valley. .... Such as Locales dining in Courtney, golfing, beach combing, shopping and fishing. Perfect location for us. Gini went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our time at the Oyster Shores such as offering flexible breakfast times, additional towels, bedding, etc, and sharing the many amenities in her bed and breakfast. We will definitely book with Gini next time we are out for some island time.
We stayed at Oyster Shores in July 2015. This was our second stay at this B & B. It's a wonderful location with great beach access. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well equipped and appointed. Ginny is an attentive host and her breakfasts are spectacular. We'll definitely stay at Oyster Shores again the next time we are travelling on the Island.
