I hate talking about myself, but I have bought and sold many properties over the years bought my first house at 21 in Portland. Since I grew up in Portland and can't imagine living anyplace else. Ok, Well I could see myself living in Germany, only because it's so much like Portland beer and all. I have watched Portland change all for the good. I can also offer some suggestions of places to go and things to do. I spend most of my time outdoors, jet skiing, biking, running, skiing and snowboarding in the winter. I keep very active in fun runs, IE Warrior Dash, Marathons, Triathlons and anything else that might sound interesting at the time. Call me anytime or e-mail with any suggestions you might have or might want.
Brian Dessinger purchased this townhome in 2005
I just decided to convert this townhouse from a month to month to a vacation rental. Why this Property? Close to downtown, affordable, easy access to downtown and other neighborhoods close by.
Spare lovely condo, nicely appointed, great area. Everything functioning well
We stayed at Brian's condo December 20-27th while visiting our son for Christmas. The condo is very comfortable and is well equipped. I don't think there was one thing that we were lacking in the kitchen since we cooked more than a few large dinners there for eight of us, which was much appreciated. The beds were very comfortable! I appreciate Brian allowing us to have our kids over because of my son's apartment being too small for all of us. There were two issues that we encountered: The first was the lack of street parking most days, which is by no means Brian's fault. It just seemed that every time we needed a parking space, there were none available. Had to haul stuff quite a ways on some days from the parked car a block or two away. The second issue was the heating in the condo. I had contacted Brian I believe on Christmas Eve to discuss the heat "not holding" on the thermostat and apparently a "flipped switch on the circuit breaker" would take care of it. Unfortunately, the temperature of the condo got down to below 60 degrees overnight most nights and we could not keep the condo comfortable. I contacted Brian two more times about this issue and once was totally ignored and the second time (which was the day we were leaving), he said he would "look into it." I think it should've been taken care of immediately, even though it was close to the holidays. I was freezing the entire time I was in this condo in Portland, and I'm from Michigan! I hope that Brian has taken care of this issue so that no one else has to deal with it. All-in-all, I was pretty satisfied with our stay. I would've given this a 5-star review had the heating issues been addressed right away. I would stay again if I was assured that I would not be cold the whole time I was there!
This rental was perfect and exactly as described, very clean, quiet, yet walking distance to restaurants and city life. The home was very comfortable, I would not hesitate to stay here again. There were many extras that are not even mentioned, there was a chromecast hooked up to the tv, which allowed pandora, netflix etc. Bikes in the garage, although, we did not use them.
Perfect stay, thanks Brian
The pictures & description of the home are right on. Very clean & modern, close
to all areas of the city. Also right on the doorstep is Safeway grocery store, Starbucks
coffee & the Hub ( great place for casual food) . Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Brian's townhouse is the perfect touchdown pad while staying in Portland! Close to the bus, grocery and brewpub nearby. Lower level is good for lounging after a day around town. Kitchen had plenty of amenities. Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. Would be very happy to stay here again! Thanks Brian!
From first contact to the time we left Brian was nothing but great. Before even signing on, he offered advice for so many things to do in the area. Once we chose him, he was very accommodating to our schedule.
The house itself is absolutely amazing - It is beautiful. Both bedrooms are lovely. The kitchen is spacious. 2 bathrooms upstairs (one in the master bedroom, one in the hall). And another bathroom near the kitchen.
The living room is well laid out for talking to friends. Has a decent sized TV, with a blu-ray player which supports netflix. Also, very cool is there is a chromecast so if you have an android phone you are set to play just about anything. And with the receiver and speakers there, music is a good option.
Nothing but good things to say, it was clean, quiet, and I would recommend to anyone. Also, we used Uber for nearly everything, which worked well.
