Del Cerro Estates Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Guesthouse/Apartment, 1BD/1BTH, (Sleeps 2)

Our home is on a one acre parcel with a guest residence (Casita) on the second story (our home is owner occupied). Our Casita is fully separate, seperate parking, private, with wonderful views from every window and it's patio. The property offers wonderful shaded areas to sit and enjoy a beverage any time of day and take in the mountain views or the full valley vistas. Dine indoor or out on the Casita patio or near the fire pit. As the sun sets enjoy the increased glow of the fire pit and the valley lights. My wife and I having both worked in the service industry are interested in our guests having an exceptional stay in Tucson. Give us a try and enjoy our hospitality or your privacy!

IN ORDER TO HAVE A SPEEDY RESPONSE BEST TO TEXT OR CALL THE OWNER. Otherwise if communicating by email enter a phone number for a quicker response.

Bike to the 55 mile Bike loop a mile away or the off road bike and hiking trails throughout the Tucson mountains. Enjoy some of the best bird watching in the country. Spot hot air balloons from your window. Spy javalina or coyotes as you listen to them howl below our property. Take in the endless Saguaro cactus and views at Gates pass.

Our location offers exceptionally quick access to Tucson and surrounding destinations due to it's proximity to interstate 10. The only highway in Tucson, I-10 runs along the west and south side of the city.

A Very Pleasant Stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our two weeks in this cozy, very comfortable casita. It is conveniently located in a nice neighborhood, only a few miles from excellent hiking trails. The views from the balcony are great. The owners are pleasant, friendly and very accommodating; they were responsive to our needs and requests, but were never intrusive. We have nothing but good memories of our time there.

We Hated to Leave

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 10 days in this lovely Casita. Our hosts Laura and Roy are wonderful people and their children are a delight. We spent our days hiking, biking, exploring Tucson and evenings on the deck. We loved the deck, very private. The location of the Casita is close to biking and hiking areas you don't have to drive very far to access trailheads. The Casita itself is well stocked, nicely decorated and clean. We appreciated the east facing deck especially on those very hots days and if you get up early enough you can watch the sunrise with a nice cup of coffee...bliss. The grounds are beautiful with spectacular views of the mountains; if your lucky you will see the javelinas put on a show, knocking over garbage bins. We found this exciting as we don't have Javalinas in Alberta and we love wildlife. We enjoyed exploring Tucson and the surrounding area there's so much to see. I would highly recommend a stay at Laura and Roy's Casita its a little gem.

Tastefully decorated, excellent view, nice neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this cute and comfortable casita for one month. We loved the balcony and the amazing views it afforded. We even got to see a thunderstorm blow through. Quite exciting! The property itself is in a very nice neighborhood and we walked our dog, Sadie, almost daily. Roy and Laura are wonderful hosts and their children are endearing and very well-mannered! They made sure all our needs were met and offered advice about local area attractions. We all got to be very close and even spent some time together. Laura took me out to a local cowboy dance hall and we had a blast! We highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning on our next visit to Tucson.

A great vacation rental in a wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent the whole month of January 2014 in Roy and Laura's apartment in NW Tucson. The rental is exactly as described on the website, complete and comfortable. Sitting on the balcony, overlooking the Santa Catalina mountains, having a morning coffee or afternoon beverage is soooo relaxing. The views from the apartment are superb, as are the kitchen supplies, the bed and the large TV with Directv. If you have any other needs, the owners are eager to attend to them. When my wife got sick, they brought up a humidifier. There was even several welcoming bottles of wine.

Although the rental location may appear to be away from downtown to those not familiar with Tucson, it is only 15 minutes from the City Center and much closer in time than many rentals out to the east. The apartment is close to the Camino del Cerro trail head with numerous hiking trails right into the desert. We took many five mile hikes all over the Tucson Mountains. The neighborhood is well-off, safe and good for walking. We did see abundant wildlife, including javelinas in the yard and coyotes on the road.

Finally, a word about the wonderful family you will be sharing your vacation with. Roy and Laura have four young children who are just fantastic. They do not disturb the apartment which is separate from the house and is very quiet. But, they do love to interact if you choose. I was invited down to watch a NFL playoff game (Go Packers) and we shared a beautiful fire pit one cool evening.

We will definitely return. Thanks Roy and Laura.

Friendly hosts, beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in Roy's and Laura's rental apartment - it was great. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped, and the East-facing balcony (which is quite large) provides spectacular views of the Tucson valley and mountains. The location in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains, near El Camino del Cerro, is very convenient, both for visits to the nearby mountains and the City. We also had the opportunity to get to know Laura and Roy (and their children) a little bit: They are wonderful people - very friendly, and helpful too. When my wife was unlucky to get too close to a Cholla, Laura knew just what to do to remove the spiny object from her arm. Laura, Thank You!

Basic accommodations; great location

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the casita. The location was perfect for us--a short drive to Saguaro National Park East. Quick access to I-10 made it easy to get to great hiking, dining and other Tucson attractions. The Tucson Loop bicycle trail is just down the road and offers miles of traffic-free cycling.

The casita was spotlessly clean, well furnished and very comfortable for the two of us and our cat. The balcony is a great spot to have a cup of coffee in the morning or dinner and a glass of wine in the evening. Laura and Roy were wonderful hosts. They invited us down for an Easter dinner and made us feel part of their family.
