What a great location! This beautiful condo, finely appointed, is located in the heart of Siesta Key. It is convenient to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The grounds are lovely and well kept. The pool is spacious, grills are well maintained and well spaced benches provide wonderful spots to watch the boats go by. The condo had everything we needed to dine in, relax while watching a movie and to experience the beach. Our family of four felt very much at home with enough space to gather together but also room in which to retreat. We particularly appreciated the wifi access, ground floor location, great parking spot and close proximity to the laundry room. We would love to stay here again when vacationing at Siesta Key!
This condo is beautifully decorated and the location was perfect for the get away we planned. It is just a short walk to the beach. Everything was included in the condo, from beach chairs to kitchenware so we didn't have to waste one precious moment searching for anything. The patios are spacious and so peaceful and the unit is even furnished with flat screen televisions, when you want to stay inside Every detail was thought out, including maps for local tourist sites. This unit is my best rental by far!! It was like a slice of Heaven!!
After a short drive from the Sarasota airport, we arrived in Siesta Key via Midnight Pass Road (how I love that name) and found Harbor Towers. My father owns a condominium in Boca Raton, and it appeared to be very similar in many respects to the Yacht and Racquet Club of Boca Raton. The grounds were manicured and well-maintained with beautiful foliage and there were several tennis courts in impeccable condition (important to me as I am an avid player) and a lovely pool. The apartment had very easy access from parking, as it is ground level with a few stairs up and presto, we were in. I knew the apartment was not new, so as I opened the door, I was frankly a bit shocked with the modern kitchen, airy feel, and beautiful floors. It really seemed like a newly constructed apartment and it was immediately evident that the owners had poured a lot of resources into keeping it state-of-the-art. I am a stickler for cleanliness and the apartment was impeccably clean. It was very roomy and open, very light, bright, uncluttered and comfortable. Bedrooms were good size with plenty of closet space, comfortable beds and bathrooms had good water pressure in the showers. The listing description was spot-on with respect to the location, appearance and amenities.
We played both golf and tennis daily and had ample beach time as well. The beaches are gorgeous and remind me of the beaches in Southern California--very similar to Manhattan Beach where I lived before moving to the East Coast. Wide expanses of cool white sand that never gets hot.
Siesta Key is a cozy, charming town and we had our first breakfast at "The Broken Egg" which was excellent and once again reminded me of my favorite restaurant in Manhattan Beach called "The Local Yolk." There are many great restaurants in the area--we dined in Sarasota and Longboat Key as well. Lots of local grouper and snapper that I cannot get up North. There is easy access to restaurants, Publix and many shopping centers just a short drive away.
I highly recommend this property to friends and relatives. I plan on renting it again next winter, and am considering buying a property in this area. We had a wonderful week and the weather was superb, the sunshine and blue skies a fabulous respite from the gray and cold NJ. The only negatives were parking in Siesta Key, which was quite a challenge one Friday afternoon. The condo was fabulous, with my only minor complaint being the hallways, which could use some updating.
