About Julie Brown

My husband, Jeff and I, live in Snellville, GA, a suburb of Atlanta. We enjoy traveling, tennis and watching our 2 kids' activities.

Julie Brown purchased this condo in 2008

Why Julie Brown chose Summit County Colorado

While attending the University of Colorado, my husband first visited Dillon and fell in love with it. An avid skier and sailor, it was a dream come true when we purchased our condo on the shore of the lake.

What makes this condo unique

Dillon truly offers something for everyone all year long. What really sold us on our unit were the views from our 2 decks. The Ten-Mile range AND Lake Dillon together, just can't be beat!

Dillon on the Fourth of July

  • 4 of 5

It was a very nice stay. It is a nice facility although it was not in as good a shape as we thought it would be. It was still sufficient. The pool and hot tub are not accessible and though we did not miss it a lot the impression is given that there may have been some maintenance Going on when clearly it has been down for a long time and will be down for who knows how long as there is no attempt to revive it. Otherwise everything was very satisfactory

Perfect location and environment

  • 5 of 5

It is a nice and big apartment. I had a wonderful time with my friends. The location is so good. Close to the reservoir, shopping center and Only 10min to keystone ski resort. Central heating is so powerful. Be careful not to make you too hot too sleep~ The owner even bought new bath tower for us. Public washing machine is in the garage. It is not convenient if you want to wash your cloth everyday. Bring some cloth for change. We cooked by ourselves most times. All things are great, only knifes and chopping board does not feel good, which is similar for other places I lived before. It is better to bring by yourself.

Perfectly located spacious condo

  • 5 of 5

The owner was responsive and helpful prior to our arrival, and allowed late entry which was helpful as we got to Dillon after midnight. Even tho there were only four of us on this trip, the spacious 3 bedroom condo could easily sleep 10 in beds and had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen had most everything needed to cook meals and the bathrooms were stocked with basic cleaning needs.

But the best feature is location! Both balconies open out to Lake Dillon, which made for a beautiful sunrise. Dillon is located 10 minutes from Keystone, 15 minutes from Loveland, and not much farther to Copper and Breck. If you are looking for a variety of ski options, this condo could not be better located! There is also an inexpensive small ski rental shop nearby and a ton of stores for groceries and shopping within a very short drive.

Dillon condo

  • 4 of 5

1 pillow was very lumpy, no Kleenex, barely enough toilet paper- maybe we were supposed to supply our own. On last day used last kitchen trash bag and we only ate bkf at condo. If we ate other meals, we would have needed more bags. There were 5 of us for 1 week. Dillon is a great place, beautiful with a lot of activities within walking distance.

Has potential if the owners would do basic maintenance

  • 3 of 5

The view is spectacular. The water pressure was awesome and hot. The beds were comfortable. So, if you are looking for a place to sleep and shower, it's good. However, it's obvious the unit is neglected. The kitchen faucet was ready to fall off, several light bulbs burned out, kitchen barely furnished, every dresser in need of repair, lacked enough towels for our group and we had to purchase toilet paper, paper towels, hand towels, bath towels, and dishwasher soap. Bottom line is it COULD have been a great place with a little consideration and TLC by the owners. Prior to posting this review I did sent the ownership an email with this and when I got no response for 3 days, I posted the review because the response seems the same lackadaisical response as to the care of the unit.
