A gem!

I felt so at home during my extended stay! The house is so charming and comfortable, with all the amenities one needs. Located downtown, yet it feels like a secluded get-away with the private backyard. The house is a short drive to the beach and a short walk to the river. Perfect for anyone needing to recharge and rejuvenate. The only thing I disliked was having to leave.

Great house, convenient location, everything you'd want in Wilmington

I stayed here for a work trip and this was a great house to stay in. Very clean, recently updated, all the amenities you'd want, and a nice backyard (shared with the adjacent VRBO unit) for breakfasts and dinners outside. The location is close to the main roads in Wilmington so getting anywhere was quick and easy. Jan was super nice and helpful and clearly takes pride in the house. Would definitely stay again.

I'll be back!

The townhouse is super clean, well kept and has everything one could need whether for a weekend getaway, longer or much longer!

The backyard is a mini-paradise. It's the perfect spot to read, meditate, share a meal or have an impromptu art class with new friends. It's awesome even when it's raining.

Jan is great - really so nice and responsive. In addition, I was fortunate to have a neighbor who has become a friend.

Double-edged sword: 17th Street is super convenient to ILM, for a quick drive to the heart of Downtown or all of the retail staples along Market Street, etc., 20min max to the beach AND a great morning walk to Port City Java. But...if you're a light sleeper and like to keep a window open, choose the back bedroom overlooking the garden.

I see the concerns/comments here about parking in front. It's not an issue - just ask Jan about off-street parking (I think she mentions it in one of her reply posts?).

If I didn't have to leave...

Immaculate home, great location

This was not the property we thought we were renting, but it worked out very well. The home was very clean and well-stocked with essentials as well as being convenient to both downtown and the beach. One must be very careful entering and exiting their car though if parked in front of house.

Wedding Weekend

Could not have been better.

We had family at the last minute needing accommodations for my daughter's wedding. The owner was wonderful in making this happen.

The property fully met all expectations as presented on the fact, I think we were all somewhat surprised in that it likely exceeded the expectations we all had. The property is well located in downtown ILM...convenient to the Historic District and only minutes from the local beaches without being in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. There is off street parking and a lovely backyard. Plenty of room to spread out and a well appointed kitchen.

We had some young kids in town as well as new in laws from Wales for the festivities and they enjoyed the USS NC Battleship and trolling the street activies dowtown on Saturday. Trolly Stop for Hot Dogs on Friday and Dockside for lunch on Saturday really made the weekend even that much more enjoyable.

I would, without hesitation, highly recommend this property to a friend or relative. It is perfect for a wedding weekend, a weekend getaway, or for a week at the beach during the summer.
