Perfect getaway for my family. Close to Nashville and plenty to do and see. The cabin is perfect. Roomy and they've thought of everything. Will definitely rent this cabin again.
Our family just returned from a WONDERFUL weekend in TN. Our son and new "daughter" were married this past Saturday at Houston Station in Nashville. Our immediate family (of 9) traveled from OHIO and arrived at the Lodge on Thursday prior to the wedding. It was so inviting as soon as we came through the gates with all the Christmas lights on and just the beauty of the Lodge itself that we knew immediately that we had chosen the right place. We had traveled to TN in the spring to look at several places that would accommodate our needs for this wedding weekend and had the pleasure of meeting Butch at that time. We appreciated his customer service and the time that he gave us prior to us even arriving for our stay in November. The whole process was so easy and informative and Butch was very accessible for all our questions we had in regards to the property. We have stayed in many different vacation homes and I would have to say that this one met every need on our list and exceeded our expectations for the weekend. As soon as we opened the door we could tell that Butch had taken special effort and provided many special touches, i.e. flowers, music, lighting and bedside treats to make our stay exceptional. The multiple bedrooms & bathrooms gave everyone the private space they needed, the beds were amazing, the large dining room table, the huge sectional and the "man" cave, (although we girls loved the pool table as well) gave us many options to spend time all together. The weather was beautiful when we arrived so we all enjoyed the large back deck and the large yard space throughout the day. We weren't able ( due to no-burn ban) to enjoy the large fire pit this trip, but the inviting hot tub was utilized instead. The Lodge was an easy drive into Nashville (25 minutes or so) so as we ventured into the city for all the wedding festivities we were able to easily get back to our place of rest and relaxation. Next time we would like to try out the train ride that departs from Lebanon to Nashville and back. Some of our extended family stopped by on their travels back home on Sunday and we were able to continue our family celebration with them and show them the beautiful place we called "home" for the weekend. Many wonderful memories were made this weekend and we thank you, Butch, for allowing us the opportunity to give this gift to our parents & our children!! God Bless You and we hope to return some day to make more!! The Housers
This was the perfect place for our sibling annual vacation. There were 9 of us and we had plenty of room. We especially enjoyed the huge dining table where we talked, laughed and played cards. The outside area was outstanding and the huge hot tub was enjoyed by several of our party. The Lodge was beautiful and supplied better than any place we have stayed at in the past 5 years. From the wooded setting, to the beautiful rooms, to the huge fire pit - everything was more than we had hoped for. The little touches - fire pit was all set up to burn, the coffee and popcorn in the kitchen, and the cookies on the nightstand - gave a homey and welcoming touch. Our host Butch checked on us the first day to make sure that everything was fine. When we left one of our party had left a couple of chargers for their phone and I pad and Butch let us know immediately and graciously mailed it to us. This certainly is a wonderful place to stay if you are going to Nashville. It is truly a first class vacation place.
My cousins and I had our biannual four night/five day reunion (this time in Nashville) and stayed at The Lodge at Piney Brook. The entire Nashville experience was fabulous and the Lodge provided the perfect "home away from home" for rest, treasured family time, and rejuvenation.
The Lodge is a large, welcoming, comfortable home, with all the comfy, modern amenities one needs...or would want. Everything worked, no corners were cut...we literally moved right in and felt instantly at home. The kitchen is well a equipped, bright, easy to use place for meal prep and chit-chat. The Lodge has a very open look beautiful, spacious piece of property.
TVs are pretty much everywhere - all modern and up-to-date. Outside on the back deck sits a large hot tub/Jacuzzi, table and chairs for eating and/or just sitting around talking. A fire ring was set up for an evening campfire, though we did not use this during our stay. The washer and dryer combo is the best I have ever experienced away from home. The Lodge is completely secure - we felt totally comfortable leaving during the day. Butch Duke, the owner/,manager, is a really nice person - always willing to help in any way that would make our stay perfect. The Lodge is about 20-25 minutes from downtown Nashville and for our money, this was excellent. There is only so much "honky-tonk" we (all "early" seniors) could absorb in a day without a timeout. The Lodge provided the perfect respite. In all, the Lodge at Piney Brook was A+.
Nashville must do: Grand Ol' Opry (eat at Cascades inside hotel), Martin's BBQ Joint (rec. downtown location on 4th Street), Parthenon replica, Cheekwood botanical gardens, and of course, Tootises and Legends Corner honky-tonks. Great time had by all and the Lodge at Piney Brook was the perfect home.
It's an absolutely lovely Lodge with awesome sleeping arrangements, wonderful bathrooms , a great well appointed kitchen and dining area!! The outdoor gathering areas are great as are the inside spaces!!! The entire home is so well kept and as clean as can be!!!! The grounds are well maintained .....its a beautiful, comfortable, & relaxing place! Our group loved our time there and are planning to return and enjoy all the amenities of the area:! Our host, Butch, was great and made sure everything was perfect for our stay!!!! Our group of 9 enjoyed our visit and all the Lodge at Piney Brook had to offer! It's a wonderful place!!!
The lodge was well kept and easy to use. It had all that we needed to serve and cook our meals. The only negative was finding the entrance at night coming from the south. The entrance was marked but still difficult to see.
