About Patricia Davis
I am an accountant and live in Colorado. My favorite places to travel are Costa Rica - beautifully country and love the people, and Italy. I love being active and love to travel. I fell in love with Costa Rica - Specifically the Arenal Area as El Castillo is approximately 2000 feet above sea level in the rain forest where the temperature is moderate 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit with cooling breezes and beautiful countryside. I cannot live without bicycling, skiing, my friends, my husband, books and Television - Almost but not necessarily in that order. The most unforgettable book that I have ever read is The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. I love the Ender series by Orson Scott Card. My favorite adventure and espionage writer is Nelson Demille because he interjects humer into his main characters. I loved the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon about life in Scotland during its revolt with England and the early days of the settlement of America all combined with time travel. Two of my most favorite travel destinations are Italy and Costa Rica and when I go I like to join bicycling tours and see the country by bike. One of my favorite book series and movies was the Hunger Games. I loved the movies Top Gun and also Knights Tale and I mustn't forget The Princess Bride. I am still a rock music enthusiast as it is very good listening for Biking, skiing and rollerblading. I also like Pucini Operas. I have to confess that I am a gluttin for carbs which I must reduce at my age and have gotten into juicing. My favorite juice is Banana, green grapes, Orange, pineapple, spinach, slice of lime and crushed ice. I supplied and decorated the house in a style and comfort pleasing to me as if I were to live there. The renting of my vacation home is a work in progress, and I am open to any and all suggestions because my aim is to ensure my guest's comfort and enjoym
Patricia Davis purchased this House in 2012
Why Patricia Davis chose La Fortuna
I came to CR with a friend in January of 2012. I had been to Costa Rica before and had to come back. We stayed in El Castillo at another property nearby and looked into purchasing a property. I fell in love with this house the moment I saw it With it's fantastic view of the Volcano Arenal, and rolling hills and pasture land, and it's location in the village - very country and nestled in with the locals. Also there are many, many adventures within 1, 2, 3, and 5 kilometers of the house. The house is spacious and very cozy.
What makes this House unique
This home is a 3 bdrm home located in the village of El Castillo. There are many things to see and do and the views are beautiful. The region of Arenal, Costa Rica centers itself around Lake Arenal and the Arenal Volcano. Located approximately 14 miles outside of La Fortuna, a popular tourist town, the charming Village of El Castillo awaits you with everything you need to enjoy luxury and relaxation and still see the 'real' Costa Rica. Although tucked away and private, Castillo is also home to The Butterfly Conservatory, Snake Zoo, The National Park Arenal 1968, and a diverse selection of restaurants. If action and adventure are what you are looking for, Sky Trek, the largest zip line over the Canopy in Costa Rica as well as hanging bridges and sky tram, are located right in our village! There are horseback tours to scenic waterfalls, or kayaking on the lake. There are also repelling and many organized nature hikes and tours that center around the volcano. If you like to push yourself, there are also off road bicycle tours in the hills around El Castillo. In and on the way to La Fortuna you can find White Water Rafting, a number of hot springs pools facilities, ATV tours, and many other adventures. At Villa Millon, you are on your own so sit back and enjoy your privacy and freedom. Should you need any information or assistance, there is a telephone in the house and numbers provided for you to contact with your questions or concerns. After your exciting days of adventure you can leave the fast pace of tourism and go back to your home in El Castillo, traveling through tunnels of rain forest and the beautiful countryside in and around the beautiful village of El Castillo. There you can relax and listen to the Howler Monkeys and enjoy a leisurely dinner and sit outside (or inside) and enjoy the pleasant breezes all the while relaxing in a tropical forest, enjoying the wonderful view, the wildlife and the quiet country atmosphere.

This property is absolutely amazing if you want to get away and experience some authentic Costa Rica in a gorgeous comfortable home that has everything you need in a beautiful country setting. Your morning coffee will include an incredible view of the Arenal Volcano, you can see toucans, go on an amazing horseback riding adventure and enjoy the awesome butterfly conservatory and so much more from within a short walk. This is a secret gem of a place. The local host is fantastic and will help you book excursions. This place is the real deal, don't hesitate to book it. I do wish it was a little closer to La Fortuna, but being out in the country is totally worth it and you are close to so many great tourist sites, so it balances out and you can animal watch on your drives. Of course, Costa Rica never disappoints. We saw so much incredible wildlife they can't all be listed. Just book this place and then don't worry. Pura Vida!
Villa in Paradise
We had an exceptional stay at Villa Millón.
The home was very clean and the morning coffee viewing the volcano was phenomenal.
Ericka was a spectacular help in setting up activities for our 3 grandchildren.
Pura Vida and we would defiantly come back to Villa Millon
I like it
Very authentic experience in el Castillo away from the crowd in authentic Costa Rica. You need a 4x4; better not come in a Toyota Corolla.
A beautiful home away from the hustle and bustle!
This property was perfect for us...spacious and clean and gorgeous! Tricia was super helpful in helping us to secure a car reservation and putting us into contact with the local caretaker to arrange activities. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. It was so nice to be able to enjoy our adventures during the day and then come back to comfort and relax. Don't miss the Butterfly Conservatory which is just a short walk away! And we thoroughly enjoyed the sloth tour through Bogarin Trail and also our cooking class through the same company!
