Shotgun Apartment ,2 Bedrooms + Den, 1 bath,laundry room & private garden

Please see the 6 minute video of the property. The rate of $125. Per day is based on 2 adults. There is an addition charge of $50. Per person per day.

This is up to 4 people.

Even kids,except if they are in a crib.

A 5th person is free.

Now that that is out of the way....


The apartments are in this 100 yr old gated 'double shotgun.’ Two rocking chairs welcome you to the property.

You enter the apartment in the living room. A mantle piece with a comfortable sofa, ottoman & several chairs await!

The first bedroom is the next room, including a queen sized bed, dressing mirror & a chair by the window for reading or relaxing with your laptop.

The 2nd bedroom follows with a queen sized bed, dressing mirror .

Each room has a closet.

A full bath, full kitchen & laundry room with washer dryer are the rear of the floor plan.

There is a large, fenced back yard with a garden.

I have had a garden design business for years. I am told the garden is lovely.

Walk to the grocery or local restaurants .You will be 2 blocks off of our beloved Magazine.

You will be in the 3000 block, between Louisiana Avenue & Washington Avenue.

St. Charles Avenue is only a few blocks up Louisiana Avenue!

Referred to as 'The Avenue' St. Charles is where you catch a street car, taking you uptown to Audubon Park's golf course & Zoo.

Tulane & Loyola Universities are across the street from the park.

Traveling downtown on the streetcar will carry you 3 miles through our Central Business District to the French Quarter.

The CBD has some of the city's great restaurants, art galleries, local owned shops & workshops (like glassblowing).

Hotels & museums.The WWII Museum & African American Museum are in the CBD.

The trolley ends where the French Quarter begins at Canal Street.

You can come home on the trolley or I prefer to call United Cab to bring you back.

Cross Esplanade Street on the far side of the Quarter and you will be in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood where Frenchmen Street & the city's great musicians go to meet & play.

Eat upstairs at Adolfo’s,then go down to Snug Harbor or any of the great places to see & support musicians there.

I relocated to New Orleans after many yrs. in Boston,NYC & Atlanta.

The city's sidewalks & architecture was what I discovered I needed.

I am a mature,quiet,owner of a small garden design company for over 20+ yrs.

Extensive resume in theater & film but relocated to New Orleans to realize my real passion as a jazz singer.

Currently studying vocal's with Betty Shirley,one of our local celeb's & have studied with.

Animal lover,especially dogs.Rescued many here but high numbers of 100 over the years.I adore dogs.

A dog is with me when I am on this property.

I also,care for & ride a beautiful, quarter horse twice a week along the levee & Audubon Park.

I am a daughter,a sister,a godmother,an aunt,great aunt & a friend to several even some from 1st grade.

Location, Location, Location

Our Voodoo Experience Weekend Trip, turned in to my Fiance and myself eloping in our fav City of New Orleans. Trying to find the perfect location for a quick Wedding Ceremony, was not as easy, until we realized we had the perfect location, in the backyard of this adorable home that we had rented. The Owner Susie, went out of her way to make the morning of the Wedding extra special, by even making me a flower bouquet to hold (for which I shall remain eternally grateful), and ended up being a Witness on our Marriage License.

The property itself, was perfect for the 4 of us staying. We loved the location and being in the Garden District which was a refreshing change from the craziness of French Quarters or Bourbon. The area has several cafes, restaurants, bars etc owned and operated by the Locals and is not overly crowded by Tourists. You really get a feel for the Nola Locals by being in this area and we absolutely appreciated it.

Can't say enough about Susie, her hospitality, her knowledge of the area, her eclectic sense of decor and her infectious personality.

We are already planning our next stay back at her property.

My aunt and I enjoyed staying in Susie's row house. It is full of character and in a quiet neighborhood. Literally 2 blocks from Magazine st, it is close to everything without being TOO close. Plenty of room for two people. I would stay here again!

We stayed in this house for my bachelorette party this weekend, and we enjoyed ourselves! The owner has a fun sweet personality, and understood our kind of crazy 😉 It fit all five of us comfortable. The über to bourbon street was about $60 for one night. All her decor in the house is shabby chic and perfect! We will be back for sure!

Great stay

Staying in the garden district is the best way to go! Get up in the morning and have your first cup of coffee in Susie's lush gardens, or enjoy a walk around this beautiful district. Two of our best meals in New Orleans were only blocks away on Magazine Street. From Susie's house it only costs about $6.00 to Uber to the French Quarter where you can enjoy all the music, noise and excitement you can handle. Then .... come back to the peace and quiet of this lovely area for a glass of wine on the front porch. Great area, great hostess.

Walk up Louisiana Ave to the St. Charles streetcar.Go to the quarter,go to Audubon Park to play golf or go to the zoo.

Better yet,don't leave the neighborhood at all.

Walk around the block off Laurel Street to Magazine Street you'll be in the 3000 block.

Watch the Saints at The Bull Dog,eat at Coquette followed by gelato at La Devina. Maybe you prefer to shop and shop you can. Great shoes,cigars,decorators/design shops,art gallery's,endless clothing store,vintage stores & the most exquisite antique stores on the map are here for you.
