Comfy home with the most amazing riverview setting

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here twice, enchanted with the deck overlooking the river and the noisy water aspect of this particular stretch. So easy to check in and out, no contact person required but available if needed. The cabin is comfortable, easily warmed and cooled if needed but we preferred the open windows and fresh air feel. Will go again.

Peaceful and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I were celebrating our back to back birthdays in Ruidoso. The pictures of the river from the back deck was the reason I rented this home. The house was cozy and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We sat on the deck drinking coffee and listening to the peaceful sounds of the river. By the second morning the deer started coming into the yards. We quickly cut an apple and were able to feed them by hand. The does and fawns were very gentle and we knew to be careful and watchful. Our stay was pleasant and relaxing.

Great family vacation. First time visiting Ruidoso and we had a great time.

  • 5 of 5

This winter family vacation was perfect. We had a great time at the house and it fit our needs perfectly. The location of the home is wonderful. The house is very close to the shops and also close to the many restaurants in the area. While at the house, we had a great view of the river and during the evening hours we enjoyed the many holiday lights along Main Road. We especially enjoyed the quietness of the area and loved that the deer were only a few feet from us. My grandson loved it. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could have extended our vacation longer. Would definitely recommend the house to anyone who visits Ruidoso. Thank you again Mr. and Mrs. Benedict for having us stay at your beautiful home.

Okay

  • 3 of 5

I saw a mouse in the kitchen. Called the person responsible. She said she didn't know what to tell me. Later that night, the carbon monoxide alarm went off. That was scary. Had to sleep with the windows open and it was freezing.

Views are beautiful though.

Owner's Response: Yes, those sneaky little field mice try to get inside where it's warm in the winter. Our caretaker is putting out more D-Con under the stove and refrigerator where pets cannot get to it. Sorry it alarmed you. The alarm went off because the battery was low but it has now been replaced. The furnace has been checked out and all is well.

Quaint house on an awesome location

  • 4 of 5

The house was cozy-close to many things. But in a quiet neighborhood. It was fun exploring the river and feeding the numerous deer in the yard!

Owner's Response: Yes, we think we have the best of both worlds---the peace and privacy of a secluded location and, at the same time, a two-to-three minute drive to the main drag and quick access to all activities and amenities. Those deer welcome all our guests!
