****M22 Just Voted America's Best Autumn Drive.*******

Our Lake Michigan home has only a few steps to the beach and a viewing deck with stairs to the beach (Top 10 Beach Towns in America AOL Travel News). Our residence is about 1/2 mile off of M22 in a very private area without any public access. The home offers 3 bedrooms with each having a private bathroom and shower. The master bedroom also has a side room (formerly an artist studio) to accommodate any additional guests. The side room does have a separate entrance with access to the back patio deck.

Watch the kids from the deck and enjoy your vacation. Just a short drive to Leland and North-port, as well many of the local vineyards (Top 10 Places to enjoy Local Wines USA Today).

Restaurants and other local flavors all within reach (Top 5 Foodie Towns in America Bonn Appetite).

Enjoy swimming in Lake Michigan as well as the many activities that the lake has to offer. Paddle boarding, Kayaking, canoeing, sailing.

Enjoy the privacy that the beach has to offer, and for those wanting to walk into Leland for some shopping or an ice cream treat or bicycling (6 Best Cities for a Bike Vacation).

Leland has a great deal to offer those who just want to stay close. The ferry in Leland can take those wanting to explore the Manitou Islands for day long hiking trips or over night camping stays.

The home is also close to a great deal of Michigan's natural treasures. Just to mention a few are Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake-shore that rises almost 500 feet from the lake. The lake-shore park also has many hiking trails for those wanting a bit more excitement. Traverse City is also home to the Cherry Festival each year and the Traverse City Movie Festival. Recently Traverse City was named 'Best Summer Trips 2012' by National Geographic.

About A. Camill

From the southern part of Michigan and grew up going up north in the summers and falling in love with the Leland Peninsula.

A. Camill purchased this house in 2012

Why A. Camill chose Northern Michigan

The location is perfect, and the beach will take your breathe away. Our home and beach is in a very private location. There is no public access for miles. The house sits just slightly on a bluff with two separate accesses to the beach. One a few steps to the sand and the other atop a viewing deck with stairs going to the beach and fire pit.

What makes this house unique

It is all about the kids and the memories they will have for the years to come. The beach is clean and very sandy. Our home sits on a very low bluff, which allows those who may not be able to tackle the stairs the ability to enjoy the beach as well.

Our home is about a half mile off of M22, and quite enough that you do not hear any noise from the main road.

Lake Michigan Magic

  • 5 of 5

We are winding up a magical week at this comfortably furnished, impeccably clean beach house on Lake Michigan. This is the third summer our three generations have made memories and reconnected at this lovely home. The alfresco dinners at the new table on the deck, the campfires roasting marshmallows at the new fire pit and rock hunting on the beach kept us busy. It was difficult tot ear ourselves away from the sunsets and the comforts here. Thank you for allowing us this fabulous opportunity again. We plan to return next year.

A truly magical place

  • 5 of 5

I live in the Midwest, but originally I grew up in a sweet little town in a beach house on the shore of the Long Island Sound in Connecticut. I've always had a thing for the quaint sea towns of New England and thought nothing could fulfill my desire to get back there, until I found this home. From the minute you drive down the quiet, private road to the house you just know you're in for something very special. Once inside the lovely, comfortable house, everyone's first reaction is to take a deep breath and take in the absolutely stunning view of the Great Lake Michigan. Several members of my family drove out from Connecticut and Vermont to join my husband, son and I that first summer in 2013. This location was so perfect for each of us to find our own adventure, swim, walk the beach, or relax, but it was clear when we were departing that we had much more left to discover on the Leelanau Peninsula. We've come back twice since that first magical summer. We came back again this past summer with more family members, and again in September, for a quiet, romantic, peaceful week with my husband. Read all the reviews because they perfectly describe what you can do and see at this beach house. I'm not sure anyone can adequately convey how this wonderful place makes you feel. My family and I are already dreaming about and planning for when we go back next summer. Our heartfelt thanks to the owners, who treat you like family. Absolutely, I'd recommend without question.

The pictures don't do the property justice

Perfect location. Perfect house. We were only four, but the house could comfortably sleep ten. Expansive views of the lake from the living room and porch. Easy access to a narrow but nice beach. High-end kitchen and t.v. The owner, Anthony answered all our questions in a timely fashion, and gave us great recommendations. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful Lake Michigan Home

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in a very relaxing, extremely comfortable home, right on Lake Michigan. It was exactly what we wanted and can't wait to return to this home. It is very private, quiet and peaceful. The view is just outstanding. We took several day trips to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Traverse City, Grand Traverse Distillery, Verterra Winery, Grand Traverse Lighthouse as well as explored Leland, Sutton's Bay and Northport.

We had 10 people staying and had plenty of room. My elderly parents were with us and were able to use the showers and bathrooms without difficulty. The deck is beautiful and the sunsets over Lake Michigan were breathtaking. We used the grill and firepit and both were great. The kitchen has top end appliances and all we needed for our cooking needs.

We do not know the owners but they were so accommodating, answering our questions, providing us with information about places to eat, things to see and do and making sure we arrived safely and were comfortable in our surroundings.

You will not be sorry if you choose this property-just make sure you leave room for me to return.

Thank you A and M for being so accommodating and taking the time to answer my emails and phone messages during the booking process. I truly can't wait to return.

Owner's Response: Carol you are too kind... I really appreciate the reply you gave our home. Its a great deal of work as you can imagine to make sure everything is as good as we can make it. But your reply makes us know that we are able to create memories for those who want to be able to share in our home as much as we do. Thank you very much

Fantastic Beach Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this cottage. It was just what we were looking for; a relaxing week on Lake Michigan at a place with all of the comforts of home. It was clean and well-maintained and the owner was very prompt and helpful with any questions we had. The beach has sugar soft sand; there are some rocks in the water (recommend water shoes for the "tender-footed"). We enjoyed many long beach walks and did some rock hunting. The star-gazing from the beach was pretty amazing.

The cottage has a newly remodeled kitchen which was a joy to cook in. The kitchen opens to an eating area with a great dining table and a large living room with a wall of windows overlooking Lake Michigan. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds and having 3 1/2 bathrooms was a plus. We spent a lot of time on the large deck. There's a table and chair set plus many extra chairs; also a really nice large grill. The sunsets from the deck were spectacular!

We enjoyed strolling through the nearby towns of Leland, Northport and Suttons Bay. Did not visit Sleeping Bear Dunes this year, but would highly recommend it to anyone who has never been. Some of our favorite restaurants were The Garage in Northport and The Cove in Leland.

Wonderful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach house. The view and sunsets were awe inspiring, and the accommodations were lovely. Our five year old granddaughter proclaimed this "my dream house" when we first arrived. The rock hunting on the beach was quite interesting - found many Petosky stones and Leland Blue rocks. We would recommend water shoes for the water, but the beach is sugary-white sand. Bicycling in the area is great! Would love to return in the future.
