Great stay, great Trullo with friendly owners

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from Matt and Nykolas Trullo outside Carovigno and we had a great time.

The Trullo is well located to visit great spots such as - Ostuni, Brindisi, Polignano a Mare and Savelletri to name a few.

Great customer service from Matt and Nykola, communications throughout were excellent leading up to and during the stay, nothing was too much trouble but importantly it wasn’t intrusive.

We felt the Trullo was better in the real life compared to the photos! It is really well equipped - Nespresso Machine, dishwasher, wifi, Gas BBQ - all mod cons.

We had a great time, we would recommend and hopefully return one day.

An amazing, beautiful, relaxing week

  • 5 of 5

The property is a lovingly restored trullo set in a grove of olive trees. The pool and lounge area are generous, and there are several distinct areas to sit and relax outside. Carovigno boasts a beautiful old town center, a weekly market, various supermarkets, and best of all easy access to the beach and to other local towns. The hosts are generous with their knowledge, expertise, and time; there was a thoughtful and lovely selection of food and beverages stocked in the kitchen much to our delight. We had an unfortunate flight delay that caused us to lose the first day entirely, but the owner was most accommodating, coming to meet us around midnight to show us to the house. He returned the next day to give us a brief tour of the town and he made excellent restaurant recommendations - even made us a rez for lunch Sunday at a fantastic nearby masseria, highly recommend! There is a security gate and an alarm on the house itself that has to be dealt with each time you go anywhere, a bit of a hassle, but just not something we are accustomed to, no big deal. As for the house: well appointed kitchen and living area, beautiful lighting; there is one bathroom, modern and tastefully done; the master bedroom is very lovely, comfortable bed, good dresser for storing clothes. The smaller bedroom was fine, but much cozier and our daughters shared a bed (they didn't mind) but there wasn't much room for them to unpack their suitcases. Last but not least, if you stay here do not leave shoes/trainers outside, as there is a beautiful local dog with a bit of a shoe fetish, who hit us not once but twice - our mistake for forgetting the first event (actually relieved that one of those pairs is gone forever!) I would definitely return to stay here.

Fabulous time

  • 5 of 5

Had a fabulous week at this beautiful trullo . The owners were great providing us with all the information needed for a relaxing stay . The trullo is lovely with everything you could need and very nicely decorated. We were also provided with a delicious array of local produce which was gratefully received after a very early start, meaning we didn't have to go out shopping. Thank you Matt and Nykola a trully lovely week in a trully lovely trullo. 😎

A character property with a great pool

  • 5 of 5

We spent a lovely week in the trullo and would highly recommend it. Matt, the owner, was extremely helpful right from the start helping us to find flights and making some excellent recommendations for restaurants, shops and places to visit. When we first arrived at the trullo we were welcomed with fresh flowers and a fantastic selection of local produce to enjoy which provided us with everything we needed without having to go shopping until the following day.

The trullo has lots of character and original features. It’s in a very private location with a lovely outlook over olive groves from the terrace and swimming pool. The property, gardens and swimming pool were all immaculately clean and the pool was cleaned whilst we were there. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need including a washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, kettle and toaster. It also had a tv, dvd player, free wifi and a barbeque outside. We were provided with plenty of towels for the bathroom and also to use by the pool.

We enjoyed visiting different places in the morning and having some great lunches out, then returning to the trullo to use the pool and relax. Our teenage daughter loved the swimming pool and spent hours in there!

Carovigno the local town has all the shops and restaurants you need and Ostuni a 5 minute drive further away is beautiful. There are beaches within a 15 minute drive of the trullo. Within an hour’s drive there are even more interesting places to visit.

Thank you Matt and Nyks for a lovely holiday.
