We purchased this home for a large family retreat. We live full time in Florida but love coming to Highlands to relax.
Pat McLaughlin purchased this lodge in 2005
This large Log Cabin is very unique and private. It certainly fits in the beautiul Smokey Mountains.
The home is built with pine logs from Finland. You wont find any drywall in this house. Each Bedroom has its own private balcony. This home has many unique fully mounted hunting trophey's. We sit on nearly six acres, so there is plenty of room to enjoy your stay and make the most of the beautiful area.
Fabulous, Beautiful, Comfortable. My wife and I were overwhelmed by the beauty of the cabin, and the views of the mountains. The pictures from the porches do not do justice to the magnificent views. The sunrises and sunsets are incredible. Everything was perfect
The pictures do not do it justice. This is the way for an entire family to vacation in North Carolina in luxury. My family and I were within 2 minutes of downtown Highlands where there is always something to do, restaurants, shopping.... If privacy is an issue, this home provides it. Great walking trails and terrific views of the highland valley off the back patio. Would love to live there full time :)
We are less than an hour from Nantahala Outdoor Center, an hour and a half from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, 45 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and within 15 minutes to a half hour of hiking trails, fly fishing, and the river.
