This property was incredible! The home was clean and had everything we needed. Canoes and kayaks were a plus. The new kitchen is beautiful. Mr Greer was a very kind and receptive owner as well. Highly recommend!

A beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

This is my families 2nd year to have our Thanksgiving here and we love it. We come from NYC and Caribou Maine, Open kitchen, dining room and living room space gives everyone an opportunity to visit without walls. Plenty of windows on the front to enjoy the Pond view. Small playground for small children. 2 levels with bedrooms and additional family room on ground level. Very clean and neat. Wood stove in the living room area was perfect for November weather to add a little extra touch of warmth and holiday spirit. Owner is awesome to work with!

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We were very impressed with this home and how spacious, comfortable, and well equipped it was (except for TP- ran out and had to pick up a couple rolls). It is a lovely property and would have liked to spend more time enjoying the lake, canoe and kayaks. Kids loved the fire pit and being right on the water. Drive to Acadia/bar harbor is an hour, more with traffic so plan accordingly. We would love to come back in the summer when we can enjoy more water activities, but the hiking in Acadia was amazing with the fall landscape- just lovely!

Spacious and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The house is nice, and the open kitchen and living/dining area is great. The lake water is amazing - clear and refreshing. The kayaks were much appreciated. The issues for us were more with the location. We are used to very secluded Maine lakes, and didn't realize that Beech Hill Pond was so populated. A neighbor owns planes and flies them over the lake frequently on the weekends. The weekdays were quiet and nicer! Josh was very helpful and communicative. Small improvement that would be appreciated by renters: a better set of knives. You couldn't even cut a tomato with the knives :)

Wonderful house on a pristine lake

  • 5 of 5

We had 13 people staying in the house and we were very comfortable. The S'more makings were a big hit! The grandchildren loved catching perch right off the pier, swimming to the floating dock as well as taking out the canoe and kayaks. The lake was the prettiest one I have ever seen! The water was so clear and the temperature was perfect. My son had a blast snorkeling. We loved just hanging at the house; cooking, playing games, lying in the hammock we brought, and my grandson even took a nap up in the playscape! The close proximity to Bar Harbor made it easy to go enjoy a couple of days there and bicycle through Acadia National Park. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone for a fun and relaxing stay.

Lovely get away

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time with our family at Josh's house. It's ideal for people who like solitude, stunning nature, going out with a boat, fishing and swimming. The house is well equipped with everything needed and has a wonderful garden. The only minus is its remote location - the next big super market is 25 minutes away and we would also have appreciated a better overall cleaning of the house. Would very much recommend that house for a family (or two) with many active kids.
