Located on one the most prestigious streets in famed Canyon Estates, this striking architectural home was the private Palm Springs get away of a Los Angeles designer/developer. The 3 bedroom, 3 bath home was recently remodeled, furnished and stocked by the owner with personal use in mind, not as a rental. In fact, the home has been featured in the advertisements of a major national retailer and the subject of several professional photo shoots. The house faces due West, as a result the view of the San Jacinto mountains across the sprawling lawn and sparkling pool is simply one of the finest in all of Palm Springs.

The master suite has a California King size bed and new 47” flat screen TV for your enjoyment. All TV’s have the most comprehensive cable package (there are two DVR recorders). The enormous master bath has a large free standing tub as well as a rain shower—both tub and shower are large enough for at least two! The linens are all high thread count 100% cotton, the pillows are down, and the towels are plush Egyptian cotton—all of the type found in the finest hotels. This is true of all three bedrooms.

The main guest room also features a California King size bed and it’s own flat screen TV. Its’ dedicated bathroom has a rain shower. The third bedroom has a Queen sized bed and the same luxurious linens and pillows. It has it’s own flat screen TV as well.

The stunning landscape and pool were designed by noted Los Angeles landscape architect Sammy Castro. The large, lush, flat lawn is utterly private and perfect for croquet or just relaxing. The lawn furnishings are modern and teak with Sunbrella cushions. The kidney shaped pool floats in the middle of the lawn. On one side, the property is bordered by mature grapefruit and lemon trees (and even a Meyer lemon hedge and herb garden for you cooks)! The pool sun deck features six chaise lounges and three umbrellas. In addition, there are covered lounge areas located next to the dining room (complete with in-ground fire pit) and also next to the Master Suite. Two water features complete the poolside environment.

The kitchen is fully stocked and has high end stainless steel appliances. Countertops throughout the house are cream and white Calcutta marble. On the patio near the kitchen is a new Weber gas grill. The adjoining TV/family room and breakfast area flow directly out to the pool. Guests can enjoy the audio system, both inside and out—there are built in speakers with individual controls in virtually every room and on the patio.

Incredible Property Great Experience

Rented the property for a weekend in September with three couples in total. The house is incredible with great views, and it is very tastefully decorated with high end finishes, furniture, and artwork. A classic Palm Springs mid-century feel. We were all impressed including one person in our party who is an interior designer. Very positive experience, check-in was easy and any minor snags were dealt with fairly and promptly by the owners. I highly recommend this property.

Gorgeous house

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at this gorgeous house. Everything was as shown, the house was well stocked with everything we could possibly need and Stephanie was a very responsive and generous host. A very easy weekend. Thanks Stephanie. We'll be back!

Not a great experience

Despite 6 emails requesting a refund of our security deposit and/or an accounting of same the Owner has never responded. Not once. In other words, she stole our money.

When we arrived at the house the cleaners were still there – I spoke with the Owner and she complained that the departing guests had broken the washing machine….

Four of us enjoyed the house for 3 days – leisure time spent by the pool; no parties, no smoking, dining out often and tidying daily. When we departed, the house manager did not arrive at the appointed time and we had to lock-up and leave in order to catch our flight. I sent the Owner a note saying that we were happy with our time at the house. To my surprise she wrote back with a list of false accusations and stated that she was withholding our deposit! When I pushed her she agreed to send pictures of any damage etc. and an account reconciliation. She never did. Despite our numerous attempts to resolve the situation, her lack of response indicates that she could not validate and suggested costs. Remember the previous tenants and the broken washing machine - her disrespect for us as renters is on par with her suggestions of how people treat her house.

It's an enjoyable house even with the rules presented upon arrival: no peanuts and/or peanut products, no sun lotion on the sun chaises, don't open the windows/doors etc.

BUT beware.

Owner's Response: I've been extremely lucky to have high quality respectful guest during all my rental seasons. Any damage incurred during stays have always been reported by the renter. Small things will break. It's the cost of doing business. I appreciate the honesty. Unfortunately, this guest did over $500 worth of unreported damage to my property requiring me to replace many of my hard-to-find bed linens. He denied creating this damage even though photos were taken immediately upon his departure. I've never experienced this level of damage and sad to even have to respond to this review. It's important to me that the property continues to be a luxury rental with top quality amenities. It's not always easy to know the quality of your renters. I can happily say that I would love to see 99% of my renters return and many continue to rent on a yearly basis..

Perfect Home

We just returned from a long, wonderful weekend at this beautiful home. Everything is exactly as pictured on this page, and in person it actually exceeded our high expectations. The house is luxurious and includes every amenity you can think of. There were four of us staying here, and the house could easily accommodate six adults. We stayed at the house all week, cooking every meal here and it is a joy to cook in such a well-stocked and designed kitchen. We rent in P.S. often, and we usually like to try different homes, but we have found our perfect spot and will be returning!
