Close to the action but not on top of everything.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here two weeks, one week a friend joined us. What a lovely relaxing time we had, we loved sitting on the floating dock and watching the fish . My husband biked the Pinellas Trail almost everyday, so convenient. I like to walk so being as close as we were to town, the Causeway made it perfect for me. Cannot say enough about Joan, she takes so much pride in keeping the place spotless and is there to help whenever needed. Looking forward to reserving another two weeks next year!!

Quiet and Relaxing Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here a week last year, and two weeks this year, and hopefully two weeks next year. We can underline everything previous reviewers have said. If you want a comfortable home to get away from it all, yet be only a mile from it all, this is for you (and us). We have found so many great and inexpensive restaurants & delis to enjoy within just a five minute drive. We love sitting on the secluded dock, and also daily visits to nearby Sunset Beach. This year we also found some of the best shelling in Florida at the north end of Honeymoon Beach. We love this home. Thanks, Sandra and Jeff, for sharing it.

Great place to stay for a relaxing vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Wow. Where do I start? The house is within walking distance to so many places: the Sponge Docks, the golf course, and Sunset Beach. Many other great destinations are just a short drive away. The neighborhood is quiet, and the house is cozy and comfortable. The sunrise view from the dock is beautiful.

Lots of great places to eat close by, such as The Tarpon Turtle or Cody's Roadhouse, but it was also nice to fix a meal and enjoy a quiet evening at the house.

The appliances are new; the house is VERY well maintained and clean.

Thank you for allowing us to share your home and we would LOVE to stay here again.

Really nice place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed at different hotels and rental homes in Tarpon Spring, and I'd say this is among my favorites. It is located in a nice, quiet, friendly and safe neighborhood, and is a easy drive to the touristy Sponge Dock and downtown. The deck allows for easy launching of canoe, and being able to see manatees in the bayou, and find live conch and starfish at the beach, is simply priceless.

The inside of the house is very welcoming. I enjoy how it has new, quality kitchen utensils and gadgets, and the LG washer/dryer is simply Christmas-list-worthy. Our bed is very comfortable. Makes me feel "staying at home" rather than at a rental place where they just try to buy the cheapest everything. It's a great place to stay for a couple (or two) or a small family.

During our stay we went out for seafood (at Rusty Bellies) and Greek (Helles and Plaka), and cooked at home with ingredients we got from the farmer's market.

Tarpon Springs

  • 4 of 5

This home is in an excellent location, within walking distance (if desired) to Sunset Beach, and to Tarpon Springs- which is well worth exploring. It backs directly on to a peaceful Bayou, ideal for use of the kayaks or just enjoying the surroundings.

The property was clean and had everything one needed for a self catering holiday,

The owner and 'caretaker' were both very helpful and ensured a smooth handover, and answers to any queries.

Good golf courses and bike trail nearby, a lovely area to visit, Thank you

A Gem!

  • 5 of 5

This is a gem of a vacation home in a very nice and quiet neighborhood off of the hustle bustle (if there is such in Tarpon Springs) of the main drag.

The home itself is very comfortable and cozy without being small. The kitchen and the adjacent dining area is bright and airy and appliances are brand new. The good size bedrooms have very comfortable supportive. They are very clean and WITHOUT bugs. There are 2 leather sofas in the living area and a huge "kick butt class" flat screen TV. The back yard is large and has a dock for all you human power boat fans.

Consider the cost of renting a room in the local Hampton Inn on a noisy highway for $145 plus tax, this beautiful comfortable home is more than a steal!!!

Here is what our renters from Toronto commented about our place.

'Hi Sandra,

Happy new year to you and Jeff as well. We thoroughly enjoyed Tarpon Springs and your house. The boys saw manatees in the bayou in town and dolphins in the ocean so they are happy! We made good use of the Pinellas trail and enjoyed Howard Park on Christmas day when the main gate was closed to cars. This is a very nice place to enjoy the winter for us Canadians! Thanks again for renting us your house.

Cecile and Misha'
