About Pamela & Daniel Rieke
Hello, I'm Pam. My husband Daniel, our daughter and I live in Denver, Colorado. Over the years, we have fallen in love with the Grand Lake area. We are thrilled to own a cabin here and excited to share it with others. I grew up in Chicago and Daniel hails from New Mexico. We both have a passion for all things vintage, including furnishings, cars and scooters. We met at a vintage scooter rally in 1996. Daniel can fix just about anything and I have an obsession with organization, order and tidiness. Hopefully these will prove to be great talents for owning a vacation rental.
Pamela & Daniel Rieke purchased this House in 2012
Why Pamela & Daniel Rieke chose Grand Lake
Our neighbors have a cabin in Grand Lake and while they would spend time in there, we would watch their Denver house, feed their cat, collect their mail and keep an eye on things for them. In exchange, they offered up their Grand Lake cabin for us to use on occasion. We quickly understood why they loved coming here as we grew fond of it too. We researched other areas in Colorado, but none attracted us like the Grand Lake area. We put a lot of love and thought into the Pine Beach Cabin and hope it shows. :)
What makes this House unique
After looking at a lot of properties in Grand Lake, we knew upon walking in that the Pine Beach Cabin was the one for us. It has a spacious and comfortable feeling. The kitchen/dining/main room area share a nice, open space and there is a great flow to the layout. The views are amazing and the land has a secluded feeling with aspen and pine trees abound. We feel very fortunate to have found it. We love the proximity to town and the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Cozy home in a great town
We had a great time staying at this home. We were for adults and 6 kids ages 4 to 11. The kids spent most of their time outside on a slope they made for sledding. The town has a great family center that has ice skating along with a rec room with games such as pool, air hockey ext. We also visited the town library which was adorable. The home had everything we needed for a large group plenty of towels plates pots and pans. It also comes with plenty of games and movies for the kids. Would definitely stay at again.
Fabulous family get away!
We had such a relaxing time at the Pine Beach Cabin. So clean and welcoming. An awesome location. We plan to return!
We rented this cabin for our family staying in town for our vow renewal party. Our family members said that it was clean, roomy, and had everything they needed for a great time in Grand Lake.
I like it and I love it, it is a good for small group ( up to 6 adults) . Good location, good view
We are a small group and we enjoyed at this home. It has two fireplaces, one inside and one outside, the area is good and quiet. It has many toys for kids. The home is fully furniture and kitchen as well. You will come as a guest and you will leave as a guest.
Very quaint and peaceful
We really enjoyed our stay in Rabun county. The cabin is very clean and well stocked. Owners are very nice and easy to work with. We spent our days hiking and exploring the areas waterfalls! I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun weekend away!
Lovely Cabin....Lovely Vacation!
Our family of 4 very much enjoyed our vacation to Grand Lake, Colorado and the Pine Beach Cabin was certainly part of the reason!
Before we rented the cabin I had quite a few questions being new to the process and Pam was very helpful with her timely responses answering even the silliest of questions to assist us in planning and finding the best place to meet our needs even if it might mean renting something else. She was very helpful!
Upon arrival we found the cabin to be just as we expected from the description and information we received. It was clean, lovely, provided beautiful views and provided everything we needed for a family with 2 teen-aged daughters. It was close to the fun downtown shopping and restaurants and the drive through RMNP to Estes Park, CO was beautiful.
Our last night we had a moose come just across the road from our cabin to dine and say good-bye!
I would recommend the Pine Beach Cabin for a family of 4 but it would be very suitable for larger gatherings as well....plenty of room! A lovely place to stay in a lovely area of Colorado!
Pine Beach Cabin has beautiful lake and mountain views and is located just 3 miles from Grand Lake Village. There are a lot of attractions nearby, some of our personal favorites are: Rocky Mountain National Park is a mere 3 miles away. RMNP offers scenic drives, hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, nature walks, biking, ... there's lots to see and do. Stop by the Kawuneeche Visitor Center to view a 20 minute movie about the park and the kids can participate in the Jr. Ranger program. During the summer you can drive over Trail Ridge Road, one of America's 10 Top Byways, connecting Grand Lake to Estes Park. Grand Lake is known as the Snowmobile Capital of Colorado with over 300 miles of snowmobile trails. More than 100 miles of ATV trails are in or around Grand Lake. No snowmobile or ATV? No problem, there are several places to rent them from. Nearby Winter Park Resort (35 miles away) and Ski Granby Ranch (15 miles away) offer skiing and snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing/sledding, alpine slide, dining, horse carriage rides, ... The Nordic Center, 3 miles away, has excellent ski and snowshoe trails with a view bar none. There's a free kid's tubing hill (tubes provided free with suggested donation), sure to provide hours of fun! After you're finished playing in the snow, warm up by the fireplace in the lodge with a bowl of soup, hot cocoa, or glass of wine and play one of the board games provided. Adams Falls is a nice family friendly hike less than a mile out and back. Hike to the water fall or continue on for a longer hike. In the winter, you can rent snowshoes from one of several places in town and snowshoe to the water fall. Grand Lake Village (3 miles away) offers shopping & dining. Enjoy a stroll along the wooden boardwalk and view the rustic architecture. Take a walk along the lake. Stop at the Town Square for summer bingo or music in the park. There's a great play park for the kiddos. Hot Sulphur Springs Resort & Spa (just over 20 miles away) is open year-round. They have 21 mineral pools & baths without any chemicals. There is also a summer swimming pool.
