I would stay here again !

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I had a great 5 night stay . I wish we had the time to stay longer .We were impressed with the apartment . It was comfortable and had a wonderful view . To me the harbor view was more interesting than had I been facing the ocean .As an American I was fascinated by the history of St. George’s and it’s connection with Jamestown , VA and the blockade runners during the Civil War. Linda , the property manager , was prompt in her email responses to any questions I had before our arrival and was easy to reach during our stay. I hope to return to Bermuda and if I do I would plan to stay at this apt. again ....Susan

Convenient location and private backyard

  • 5 of 5

We traveled to Bermuda for a destination wedding and this apartment was perfect for our stay. The bedrooms were large and there was a covered porch overlooking the backyard and water. Such a beautiful spot located close to everything in St Georges.

Magical Time

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 stayed in Smith House for three wonderful days in the last week of August. The apartment is convenient to activities and restaurants in St Georges and very walk-able to area beaches. I can't say enough about the apartment itself, particularly the balcony and garden. It was lovely to relax and enjoy the view of the water, harbour, boats etc. from the balcony while being shaded from the hot Bermuda sun. From the garden we could also enjoy the view and also watch and feed the fish or swim off the sea wall. Just magical. Sue was helpful and gracious. We will be back!!!!

Would book it again in a heartbeat

  • 5 of 5

Linda was a fabulous host and we loved staying at her fantastic apartment! We rented with another couple for a destination wedding. It was our first time visiting Bermuda and we were not disappointed!! The location is fabulous—so convenient and right in the center of St. George! It is walking distance to some great beaches, historic sites, very easy for dining out and buying snacks and other necessities. The garden is beautiful, the view of the night sky is also amazing and we even went for a swim without leaving the yard! The apartment itself has a nice balcony where you can relax in the shade but still enjoy the outdoors. The space was very clean and comfortable with all our needs provided—iron, ironing board, hair dryer, ice, condiments and a very handy drying rack with all the beach trips and swimming we did. We would book it again in a heartbeat.

The pictures do no justice for the beautiful property. The backyard is functional for activities.

The bedroom are a nice size. Very roomy. The property is well taken care of. And our host Linda was phenomenal. She was available when needed and concerned about us being comfortable.

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

After spending a week in the Smith cottage (q.v.), we booked the apartment for a week. The view from the porch is exactly as shown in the photograph. We had morning coffee and often lunch there to enjoy looking over the harbor. Linda Hanafin is wonderful to work with -- helpful but not intrusive. She works very hard to insure a good experience for her guests, including outfitting the property with every convenience. We prepared dinner half the nights we stayed. Recommend Somers grocery in St. George for basics and, for fancier items (think Marks & Spencer food), the new supermarket on Front Street in Hamilton.

Location of the apartment is super convenient -- post office for bus tickets is 50 feet, pharmacy 100 feet, choices of restaurants within a quarter of a mile. Tempest is our favorite for intersting menu and service, Wahoo for pub experience, and White Horse Tavern for wahoo salad. Also Yocherry for homemade ice cream. St. George bus terminal is a five-minute walk, and the bus to Hamilton takes just under an hour. A fifteen minute walk to Tobacco Bay beach. The art museums in Hamilton and at the Botanical Garden are worth a visit, also the acquarium/zoo in Flatts.

We will be back, and all in all prefer the apartment to the cottage because of the layout of the living/dining rooms and the windows on three sides.

Relax with the locals in the Town Hall and Square where you can watch the dunking of the local gossip in the harbour.

A ferry ride to Royal Navel Dockyard, a must to see The Commissioners House and the Dolphins.
