Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed in the cabin during some glorious weather events and were thrilled that the back deck offered complete protection from the elements. It was great to be in the cabin in that forest during a storm. Then, as the sun was setting, it appeared in all its glory, the birds were fluttering about, we saw three deer and those Margaritas tasted even better.

Thanks for being such great hosts to our family.

Nice Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here at the Wolf Den cabin for a much needed R&R.

Loved the secluded feeling...even with just one cabin through the trees. All was quiet and SO relaxing. We enjoyed the back porch the most. The swing on the front porch was an added bonus!

Our favorite place to eat in Wilksboro was Amalfi' Italian food! We were also pleased to find a Dunkin Donuts in the nearby Walmart!

Attractions within the gated community: Staghorn Falls (beautiful place to read a book!)

Fishing pond with nice trail nearby with hammock. Also took advantage of their covered gazebos with porch swings.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time and the cabin was wonderful. We had 6 adults and 2 kids; plenty of room to comfortably spread out. Kitchen had everything we needed. Directions to get to the cabin were easy to use. There is so much to do around the cabin. The waterfall was beautiful and the size a pleasant surprise. The pond was great for our fishing fanatics. We all enjoyed relaxing on the porch, rocking in the chairs, rehashing all the fun we had during the day while listening & watching the wildlife. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.

We absolutely loved Wolf Den! Nine of us spent our Christmas vacation here and there was nothing about it we didn't like. There is plenty of room, everything is very neat and clean and the kitchen is very well stocked. We also thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful waterfall not far from the cabin. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck every morning watching the sun rise was fabulous! Thank you to the owners for sharing this cabin <3.

Had a wonderful time at wolf den cabin! Plenty of space for a family of seven, yet very compact.

Everything was comfortable! Beds slept very well and the cabin was very clean.

The amenities were perfect! Kitchen well supplied with pots/pans, bowls and utensils.

Dearly loved the porch with the rocking chairs.

Thanks for a peaceful place to escape the hassles of life!

Appreciate the planning and work applied to make an oasis of peace!

Wolf Den Review

  • 5 of 5

We love Buck Mountain and previously have stayed in other cabins in the area. We are so glad we discovered Wolf Den Log Cabin....because it certainly exceeded our expectations! The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, roomy, very clean and feels like "home away from home". The kitchen was well stocked in relation to the cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, etc. We especially loved the serene, quiet location and watched the deer strolling around the property in the evening. Wolf Den is a "little slice of heaven on earth" and you can feel the stress melt away as you rock on the porch. Many thanks to Brad and Stacey for sharing their mountain retreat.
